A new book by Omid Scobie, Endgame, threatens to derail Meghan Markle‘s rebrand, claims a royal commentator. The Duchess of Sussex had reportedly removed herself from anything connected to the House of Windsor and now finds herself sucked back into a “royal soap opera.”
Meghan Markle finds herself at the center of a new royal controversy
A new royal tell-all titled Endgame, by author Omid Scobie, explored Meghan Markle’s 2021 claim to Oprah Winfrey regarding “conversations” within the royal family of Prince Archie’s skin color. While Scobie did not reveal the names of the royals allegedly involved in the U.S. version of the book, the Dutch version implicates King Charles and Kate Middleton.
Royal commentator Daniela Elser believes this fresh drama will derail Meghan’s attempts to distance herself from further royal controversy. The remarks in question were first made in 2021.
Elser writes, “Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex,...

Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not spoken publicly about their royal family exit in almost one year, that doesn’t mean others aren’t speaking for them. A royal commentator claims King Charles should be “very worried” about a fresh fight from his son and daughter-in-law after the release of the book Endgame, penned by their friend Omid Scobie.
Royal commentator says ‘Endgame’ debut could open up fresh wounds for King Charles
Royal commentator Daniela Elser of News.com.au discussed Endgame‘s publication and how it could open up a Pandora’s Box for the royal family once again. The book’s author, Omid Scobie, promises a “penetrating investigation into the future of the royal family.”
Per publisher HarperCollins, the book aims to “pull back the curtain on an institution in turmoil—exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future. However, this is the monarchy’s endgame.

The journalist who worked with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the book of their departure from the British Royal Family is revving up for his next offering, in which he brands King Charles as “unpopular” and Prince William as “a power-hungry heir.”
Omid Scobie – who co-write the 2020 bestseller Finding Freedom, has begun promoting the book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival, which the advertising blurb promises is “explosive.”
The Mail on Sunday newspaper quotes a Palace insider saying: “I’ve been told this is bad, very bad. It is unlikely that Royal aides will comment, but if there are charges of racism, they will, of course, be robustly rebutted.”
The newspaper added that the book will be serialised in a major US magazine, but not in the UK.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t have the easiest time when they started dating. Harry was arguably one of the world’s most eligible bachelors, so when Meghan came around, the press immediately dug into her life and followed the couple everywhere.
It made life difficult for the two, and the paparazzi wanted to be everywhere Harry and Meghan were. As a result, they had to take all kinds of precautions — even when it came to what Meghan wore. And when Harry gave Meghan a sweet gift at the beginning of their relationship, she was told she couldn’t wear it.

Months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down the book Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family was released. Journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand authored the Sussex-friendly biography.
Following it’s publication some royal watchers opined that Scobie was the duke and duchess’s unofficial spokesperson. He denied that but was always viewed as a strong supporter of the couple, which is why his recent comments as well as what Prince Harry wrote in his memoir Spare have left a lot of royal fans scratching their heads.

The epilogue to Finding Freedom reveals new details about the allegations that Meghan Markle bullied palace staff. Just four days before Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey was televised, The Times of London published two reports accusing the Duchess of Sussex of bullying palace staff members. The Times cited emails in their articles, suggesting that a staff member had leaked the information to the press. One such email was from the Sussexes' prior communications director Jason Knauf, who wrote to Kensington Palace Private Secretary Simon Case in October 2018. According to authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Knauf wrote that he...

Months after Meghan Markle faced bullying allegations from former employees, new reports are coming to light about the situation. In a new epilogue for the paperback edition of Finding Freedom by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie, sources claim that two of the royal palace staffers from the original complaint have rescinded their claims. The allegations were first addressed in an article by The Times in March, in which the couple's then-communications secretary Jason Knauf claimed Meghan "drove two personal assistants out of the household and undermined the confidence of a third staff member" back in 2018.
After the story was released, Meghan and Prince Harry's spokesperson released a statement to People addressing the bullying allegations, saying, "The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has lost the latest round of her ongoing legal battle with U.K.’s Associated Newspapers Limited (Anl), publishers of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday.
Markle sued the group for breach of privacy and copyright infringement after the Mail on Sunday published excerpts from a 2018 letter Markle sent to her father Thomas Markle Sr. Anl denies her claims.
Last week, Anl had applied to the court to amend its defense and use the recently published book “Finding Freedom,” by U.S.-based journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, alleging that Markle had passed on information to the authors.
Markle’s lawyer, Justin Rushbrooke, argued, “The claimant and her husband did not collaborate with the authors on the book, nor were they interviewed for it, nor did they provide photographs to the authors for the book,” and suggested that the book draws...

Ever since Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand's book about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, dropped on Aug. 11, we've been eating up every new detail about the couple - like the fact that Meghan was in a Tori Amos music video 21 years ago and that Harry and Meghan were already secretly engaged when they made their first public appearance together. Even though Meghan and Harry did not personally contribute to the book, the authors spoke to 100 of the couple's friends, trusted aides, and senior courtiers, who also happened to reveal the hilarious gag gift Meghan got Prince William during her first Christmas with the royals in 2017: a spoon with the words "cereal killer" written on it. Classic!

I still remember the day like it was yesterday. It was a Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, to be exact. It also happened to be day three of Prince Harry's Invictus Games in Toronto. At the time, I'd only really heard tidbits here and there about his relationship with Meghan Markle: they were introduced through their mutual friend Misha Nonoo, they'd already met each other's parents, and they were even spotted on a date night in London. Harry and Meghan had yet to make their public debut as a couple, but that was all about to change.
During the wheelchair tennis event, it finally happened. Harry and Meghan walked out hand in hand, marking their first public appearance as a couple after a year of dating. Given that the Invictus Games hold a special place in Harry's heart and Meghan was currently living in Toronto, it only made sense that they used...
