Charissa Hogeland is a born and raised California girl, whose heart
(and mailing address) finds a home in NYC. A graduate of UCLA with a degree in Acting, she
lives in Harlem and visits LA as often as possible. She ought to be a
Gemini...her heart can't decide which she loves the most.
She debuted in NYC as a member of the original cast of "Heathers: The
Musical" at New World Stages in New York City, she has taken on the
roles of Dance Captain and Goth Girl, as well as understudying the
leading roles of Veronica and Heather Chandler, both of which she has
performed at least 8 times. It's been a fun ride. She can be seen in
the indie feature film "The Truth About You", directed by the absolute
goddess, Andrea Fellers.
Miss Hogeland kicked off 2014 with a solo concert at Rockwell Table and
Stage in Los Feliz, California. To her delight, it sold out and became
a standing room only performance. She covered some of her favorite
tunes, including "Mad World", "Many The Miles", and "Barton Hollow", as
well as one of her original songs "Insecurities". Charissa also
actively creates her own short film to be produced in the summer of
2014.
