[[tmz:video id="0_pjgeq8lx"]] There's officially only one Fashion Santa now ... and you're looking at him. Paul Mason aka Toronto's First famed Fashion Santa tells TMZ his legal battle with the Yorkdale Mall is over, and he got what he wanted. The Og gained international attention a few years ago when he did his thing, but when Yorkdale tried to trademark "Fashion Santa" ... Paul challenged in court. Paul argued the trademark should be his because he's the only model people associate with the title,...

Matthew Heineman’s City Of Ghosts has won the grand jury award at Sheffield Doc/Fest (June 9-14).
The award, supported by Screen International and Broadcast, comes with a cash prize of £2,000 ($2,800).
The film covers covert citizen journalist group Rbss (Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently), who are exposing the horrors of life under Isis rule via the media. Amazon have picked up worldwide rights to the film.
On behalf of the jury, Paul Mason said, “City of Ghosts is a passionate portrayal of people who took their lives in their hands to fight an evil that looms over the world. [[tmz:video id="0_dc65co0g"]] The guy who made Fashion Santa world famous last year is in the cold -- North Pole-like cold -- because the mall that turned him into a sensation has cast him aside for this year's version. Paul Mason thought the moniker was all his, so imagine his chagrin when he found out Toronto's Yorkdale mall hired a new guy for the job. Paul thought he had an air-tight case to block the new St. Nick,...

Paul Mason (How will the movie industry respond to the Trump era?, 15 November) might like to watch, for starters, Frozen River (Courtney Hunt), Winter’s Bone (Debra Granik), Middle of Nowhere (Ava DuVernay), Amreeka (Cherien Dabis), Drunktown’s Finest (Sydney Freeland), Tangerine (Sean Baker), American Honey (Andrea Arnold) and Certain Women (Kelly Reichardt) to get a fuller picture of how American cinema – albeit independent – is narrating a range of working-class lives. Yes, the protagonists – and directors – are predominantly women. Perhaps, beyond chastising the money-chasing studios, it’s more pertinent to insist that the media amplify these powerful, award-winning films that already exist, so that audiences can find and see them. Could it be, as Laura Dern’s character says in Certain Women, that no one is paying attention to them because they are (by and about) women?

As Raised By Wolves concludes its ace second series on Channel 4, we tip our caps to a cleverly written sitcom…
On the long list of things to like about Raised By Wolves—witty writing, new indelible comic archetypes, frank outlook and the nerdiest stream of Game Of Thrones references this side of our comments section—how much The Daily Mail dislikes it has to be somewhere near the top. You know you’re onto a good thing when your pilot episode gets a sneering one-star review from that quarter.
It’s little wonder the Mail failed to see the funny side of this Channel 4 sitcom. Raised By Wolves’ candid perspective is working class, female and mouthy, a combination loathsome to some but that sings hallelujah to the rest of us.
It’s not political tub-thumping that makes Raised By Wolves such reliable fun though. (As...

When Justin Bieber dropped by the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto to presumably pick up some last-minute Christmas gifts on Saturday, the "Sorry" singer teamed up with the mall's "Fashion Santa" for one of the cutest holiday selfies you'll ever lay eyes on. The full-time silver fox and part-time trendy Santa Claus is actually a model named Paul Mason who poses for pictures in December with mall-goers in support of the Sick Kids Foundation, an organization that raises money for Toronto's Hospital For Sick Children. If Justin's ear-to-ear grin is any indication, the pop star was extremely psyched to meet him. See the snap below, and then check out some other adorable celebrity Christmas cards! It's true!
