Derek Brin is a multi-platinum, award-winning Music Producer, Sound Editor and Mix Engineer who founded Fierce Music Group Inc.
based in Toronto, Los Angeles and the Caribbean.
Before starting his own company, Derek spent 10 years as the in-house Composer, Sound Editor and Head of Audio Operations for Visual Productions, a film & Television Production company based in Toronto and South Africa.
Derek did music and mixed the film "Becoming a Queen" which won Best Feature Film for the CTFF during TIFF 2021.
Derek is a contributing composer for TM-Century's world renowned 'Imagio' collection, Bedtracks and Nightingale Music. He has scored over 1000 half hours of television and his work has been featured TV shows like So You Think You Can Dance, The Hills, Degrassi - The Next Generation, Degrassi Goes Hollywood, Wild Discovery, Supermarket Sweep, The Mom Show, Blue Murder, Psi-Factor, Cover Guy, The NHL Awards and CBC's Fashion File.
He also contributed to the first 'Pokemon' soundtrack (double platinum in the US), Smokin' Aces, and on screen song placements in Blue Streak, Save The Last Dance2, Poker Night & Replikator.
In addition to his screen media work, Derek has worked with major recording artists like Ne-Yo, Dan Hill, Jaheim, RuPaul, Kelly Price, Mattafix, Chenelle, Massari, Jane Zhang, Noel G, Dru, Andreea Balan, Keo, Puya, Keshia Chante, Kristine W, Dream Warriors & many others.
Brin has been engineer and programmer for hit songwriter Dan Hill since 2004 and has also served as programmer for heavyweights like Diane Warren (Realsongs), Guy Roche, Jud Friedman and Allan Rich.
