Julia Louis-Dreyfus was one of the main attractions of the hit NBC series Seinfeld. The brainchild of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, many of its storylines were inspired by real-life experiences of Seinfeld’s life. The series ran for 9 successful seasons and is considered one of the most influential sitcoms of all time.

The show in total consisted of 180 episodes throughout its entire run and while the makers pulled off some risky one-liners and jokes through them, one episode proved to be too extreme for the cast and they had to pull the plug on the episode. Marvel may be going through a rough patch lately, but the big film brand still had a few successes in the last year. One of those was the completion of James Gunn‘s trilogy of Space A-holes, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The Guardians were a big part of the MCU’s second phase. It was considered a big risk for the company since they were not a popular name and deemed too unconventional when compared to the other superhero films. Nevertheless, the first movie raised $773.3 million at the box office and made stars of Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and James Gunn. Fast forward to phase five, Gunn has the Guardians go their separate ways, then proceeds to take his new position as the co-chief of the Dcu.

Zoe Saldaña doesn’t think Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is gone for good. The actress said this week it would be a “huge loss” for the MCU to say goodbye to its ragtag group of intergalactic heroes.
“I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back the Guardians of the Galaxy,” Saldaña said in an appearance on The Playlist. “It’s just such a fan-favorite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like James Gunn’s writing — which is just so marvelous for and very specific for this genre.”
Saldaña played Gamora in Marvel’s three Guardians films. Alongside her, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket the Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) made up the original Guardians. The group, including Gamora, also appeared in several other MCU installments,...

Zoe Saldaña was asked on an upcoming episode of The Playlist’s “Discourse” podcast if she was “done” playing Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe now that James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy has ended. Gunn has moved on to DC, and some of Saldaña’s co-stars like Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) have vowed that “Vol. 3” was their last “Guardians” movie.
“I mean, so far, I think that she is [gone for good] for me, but I don’t think Gamora has gone for good,” Saldaña answered, suggesting she is not interested in playing Gamora again at this time but certainly the character still exists within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its sprawling multiverse.

After Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall powered its way to five Oscar nominations, it was a common feeling that the film’s Mvp was short-changed on the big night. Though the film went home with Best Original Screenplay, Messi — the seven-year-old border collie who plays Snoop, the family dog who becomes an integral part of the courtroom drama — was not so lucky, returning empty-pawed to his native Paris. Not that he was an ungracious loser; a clip of the hound applauding Robert Downey Jr.’s win for Oppenheimer went viral, not least because it brought a huge spontaneous smile to the face of Barbie’s Ryan Gosling.
Being modest, Messi downplayed the fact that earlier in the day he had stolen the show at the Fido Awards in London, an awards ceremony that recognizes the work put in by canine thespians from around the world. From the same...

"Fairly OddParents" may not be quite as universally recognizable as Nickelodeon's flagship series, but the very funny series about wish-granting fairy godparents that only kids can see seems to be just as prolific. Though the original animated series last aired in 2017, live-action movies and a live-action Paramount+ spinoff series have kept the world of Cosmo (Daran Norris) and Wanda (Susanne Blakeslee) alive over the years. Now, thanks to a report from What's On Netflix (via Cbr), rumors are swirling that another animated series set within the same cartoon universe as the original may be in the works at Netflix.
The original run of "Fairly OddParents" followed spiky-haired pre-teen Timmy Turner (Tara Strong) through a not-so-great adolescence that suddenly got a lot better when he discovered he had fairy godparents to help him through. Jason Alexander is weighing in on the possibility of a Seinfeld reunion that Jerry Seinfeld teased last month. However, it seems that the actor who played George Costanza during the nine-year run of the sitcom is unaware of any revival actually happening.

Twice a month Joe Lipsett will dissect a new Amityville Horror film to explore how the “franchise” has evolved in increasingly ludicrous directions. This is “The Amityville IP.”
The single biggest recurring question that has arisen over the course of this editorial series is “what constitutes an Amityville film?” It’s the basic impetus to go through all of these films chronologically, regardless of quality or connective tissue to the original film or the books.
It’s also why complaints in the comments that everything past a certain point (ie: either A New Generation or the remake* apparently) no longer qualifies are immaterial and frankly kinda boring. It’s always been more interesting to consider how and why filmmakers are using “Amityville” in their films – for better or worse.

What would "Seinfeld" be without Kramer? The enduring sitcom about nothing thrived on the sheer watchability of its four leads -— Jerry Seinfeld's Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Elaine Benes, Jason Alexander's George Costanza, and Michael Richards' Cosmo Kramer. From the beginning, each character's personality was sharply honed by series creators Larry David and Seinfeld, and each character's relationships with the others deepened and developed as the series spanned across the 1990s, ballooning to 180 total episodes.
Kramer was always the show's X factor. Jerry provided the services an anchor character needs to deliver — be the straight man, the locus from which all storylines issue and return, and, because this was the '90s, a ladies' man. George meanwhile could be relied on to panic, fret, and comically blow his fuse, and Elaine, honestly, was just a vessel for whatever the comic genius Julia Louis-Dreyfus wanted to do. But Dreyfus was never wild or unpredictable.

There may be buzz of an, as yet unspecified, Seinfeld reboot but one of its leading lights either knows as little as the rest of us – or is a very good actress.

“It hasn’t happened yet,” he teased. “And just what you are thinking about, Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about, so you’ll see… you’ll see.”
Seinfeld did not elaborate, so we’ll all have to stay tuned.
Buzz of a possible Seinfeld revival is not new. When asked by Ellen DeGeneres on her show in 2018 if Seinfeld could follow other sitcom revivals such as Will & Grace and Roseanne, Seinfeld said, “It’s possible.”
Created by Larry David and Seinfeld, the sitcom aired on NBC for nine seasons from 1989-98 starring Seinfeld...

Jerry Seinfeld created and starred as the lead character in the classic sitcom Seinfeld. The series came close to never airing and soon became a part of popular culture. Some fans might recall one episode that featured Keith Hernandez. He had a great time with the cast members, but one star seemed aloof.
‘Seinfeld’ featured Jerry Seinfeld playing himself
Seinfeld started his career doing stand-up comedy at various clubs and became popular. In 1989, he got the chance to create a sitcom called Seinfeld along with Larry David. In the show, Seinfeld portrayed a fictionalized version of himself.
In the series, Jerry appears reasonable compared to his friends. His friends are George, Elaine, and Cosmo. Each episode has a different storyline, such as when George tries to get revenge on his boss.
The primary setting is an apartment building where the characters reside in New York City. The sitcom incorporates Seinfeld’s style of comedy.

James Gunn's sci-fi adventure film "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3" takes place on a free-floating space station that was once the head of an ineffable space deity. On board the head, called Knowhere, a wide variety of aliens and creatures live in a cramped complex of apartments, trying to reside as comfortably as possible. Knowhere is also the home to the Guardians of the Galaxy, a loosely associated group of aliens — and one human — who occasionally commit acts of heroism for hire. In the first "Guardians" film, they came into the possession of Cosmo, a Soviet space dog that was salvaged by an unusual being called the Collector. By the third "Guardians," Cosmo could speak through a psychic collar (Cosmo was voiced by Maria Bakalova) and float objects with her mind.

Scarlett Johansson is a proud mom of two. The "Asteroid City" star shares daughter Rose Dorothy with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac and baby Cosmo with husband Colin Jost. In fact, Cosmo was born just months before she started working on "Asteroid City," and she revealed in June that Cosmo was very popular with her costars on set.
"People were excited to see the baby, not me. They're like, 'Oh, it's you. Where's baby?'" she spilled to People in an article published June 15.
"My husband and baby [came to set] because we had just had a little baby," she explained. Cosmo was born in August 2021, and the film went into production that fall. "Some people had partners that came up. Most people were alone, I think. A lot of people had children too, but maybe a little bit older." She added that Cosmo was basically the "set baby."

Scarlett Johansson had a lot of fun filming her new movie, Wes Anderson's "Asteroid City." But someone who had more fun? Her son, Cosmo.
Johansson and husband Colin Jost welcomed Cosmo in August 2021, and "Asteroid City" was filmed in the fall of that year, when Cosmo was a baby. "I actually wasn't popular, it was just the baby," Johansson told People about being part of the ensemble cast in an article published June 15. "People were excited to see the baby, not me. They're like, 'Oh, it's you. Where's baby?'"

Scarlett Johansson nailed the work and motherhood balance from the get-go.
The actress chatted to Et Canada’s Brittnee Blair about bringing her baby son Cosmo, now 1 — whom she shares with husband Colin Jost — to the set of her latest film “Asteroid City” when he was just 8 weeks old.
As Blair questioned whether being a new mom helped her in her role in the flick, Johansson replied, “I had a little baby, which was great to be able to share with everybody, because how often [do] you get to be around like an eight week old baby?
“So everybody was very excited about that because it’s so amazing. You know, they’re like this new, fresh person and I was so happy.

In James Gunn's 2014 film "Guardians of the Galaxy," the titular heroes visited the museum of the Collector (Benicio Del Toro), an alien being who took pride in amassing the galaxy's rarest trinkets. He kept his collection on display in a series of glass boxes, happy to show visitors around. When the Collector came into possession of an Infinity Stone, a powerful magical rock with explosive properties, it laid waste to most of his collection, but the ensuing explosion also freed an animal: Cosmo, the Soviet space dog. In the first "Guardians," Cosmo was merely a dog that licked the Collector's face. In subsequent sequels, Cosmo would be equipped with a collar that allowed her to speak (her voice was provided by Maria Bakalova) and would eventually discover she had psychokinetic powers.

The two stepped out together for the May 23 premiere of "Asteroid City" at the 2023 film festival, laughing and embracing on the carpet prior to the event. The couple of over six years looked more smitten than ever, with Johansson putting her hand on Jost's cheek and sweetly adjusting his tuxedo. Jost came in support of Johansson's role in Wes Anderson's latest film, which also stars Tom Hanks, Steve Carell, and Margot Robbie.

It took a village of 10 visual effects houses, including Weta FX and Framestore, and 3066 visual effects shots to help bring James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” to life over 15 months of post-production.
From studying baby raccoons for the backstory of Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) to golden retrievers for talking dog Cosmo, the VFX supervisors spent months putting together the sequences — some with explosions and complex action, including the film’s already iconic two-minute one-shot scene timed perfectly to the beats of the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.”
The teams break down the process behind some of their VFX magic and how they navigated some of the most challenging scenes.

When it came to creating Cosmo, the photoreal dog voiced by Maria Bakalova, Stephane Naze, VFX supervisor for Framestore, says the team pulled together photos and footage of a real dog and made it CG.

It’s been a long and emotional road over the past decade for fans of the galaxy’s misfit heroes, but it sure seems like this journey has finally come to an end. Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 hit theaters this past week and gave audiences another two-hour action-packed adventure ride that is being praised as arguably the best MCU movie since Endgame. The Guardians movies have always been beloved by MCU fans and critics alike and the third is no different, with director James Gunn deserving a standing ovation for his MCU encore.
However, despite the movie being Gunn’s last turn behind the camera for the MCU, and the added confirmation from the director that Volume 3 would be the Guardians last outing, the film itself left several loose-ends and countless possibilities for where the fan-favorite characters could return in the future. So, with all of the Guardians split...

The final track might’ve played on James Gunn’s time with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but rest assured, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 isn’t quite the end of the story. While series mainstays Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldaña, and Sean Gunn claim they’re also done, one lovable rogue is sticking around for more. Aside from Chris Pratt himself teasing Peter Quill’s return, Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3 quite literally spells it out for us.
A cryptic post-credits teaser of “The Legendary Star-Lord will return” confirms the music-loving hero has at least one more MCU outing in his arsenal. Don’t expect Pratt to suddenly lead a Disney+ Star-Lord series next week, and remember, he’s already expressed an interest in joining Gunn in the DC Universe. Long before his tenure as the CEO of DC Studios started, director James Gunn’s claim to fame was the Guardians of the Galaxy movie franchise in the MCU, which solidified him as a proper modern-era comic-book movie director through a brilliant display of his ability to assimilate comic authenticity with contemporary sensibilities in such a way that even the most obscure characters became fan favorites in no time. Even in terms of their impact on MCU world building, the Guardians of the Galaxy movies explored the cosmic scale of Marvel like no other, which helped build the foundation of their overarching narrative immensely. With the third and final entry of the trilogy, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, released this week worldwide, Gunn has concluded the story arc of the team through an emotional send-off that boasts equal parts heart and humor and a traumatizing reminder of the human capacity for...

With the release of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" in the rearview mirror, James Gunn is going to be more focused on his new job as the co-head of DC Studios. Yes, Gunn is moving from Marvel to DC after nearly a decade and, what's more, he's going to be personally directing "Superman: Legacy," which will be the big coming out party for the new DC Universe he and Peter Safran are putting together. Gunn has also confirmed that several actors he's worked with in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be coming with him to the Dcu.
On Twitter, Gunn was responding to some fan questions and someone asked if any of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" actors will be appearing in "Superman: Legacy." Gunn simply replied "yes," offering no further context whatsoever. Time to speculate recklessly! (Though applying some actual logic as well so we're not letting this devolve into meaningless nonsense.

F. Scott Fitzgerald famously described Daisy Buchanan, his “Great Gatsby” heroine, as having a voice that’s “full of money.”
Wes Anderson could say the same about Scarlett Johansson, his latest leading lady. The auteur has worked with enough A-list talent to fill a Met Gala — from Meryl Streep to George Clooney to Cate Blanchett — but he acknowledges that star power is somewhat of a mystery. With Johansson, who plays a luminous 1950s movie icon in his film “Asteroid City,” the director thinks he knows the secret: “Scarlett’s voice is so expressive and interesting. I would say it’s her greatest strength.”
As she’s become a bigger and bigger star, Johansson has grown more comfortable raising that voice when she feels she’s been screwed over. Case in point: She shocked the industry in July 2021 by stepping into the ring with Disney, the most powerful entity in Hollywood.

The following article contains spoilers for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," including the mid-credits and after-credits scenes.
As someone who has read comics for my entire life and owns more than one cape, it broke my heart to write an article about superhero fatigue. I love superheroes and the movies and shows about them. I'm just getting tired of having to do homework to watch something or realize that if I skip one property in these franchises, I'll be woefully left behind. They all connect in so many ways that you cannot miss a second.
That was fine when there were, like, two movies in a franchise per year, but these days it's overwhelming. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is so twisty that many of my family and friends have dropped off. It's not because they don't love the films. It's because they don't have enough hours in the day to watch.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" has the customary mid and post-credits scenes for a movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They're thankfully free of any overt sequel teases and instead serve as epilogues for some of our main characters. The mid-credits scene has Rocket (Bradley Cooper) leading a new team of Guardians. The post-credits scene follows up on where the film left Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) before the credits rolled.
Taking some earlier advice from Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Peter decides to return to Earth and finally reunite with his grandfather, Jason (Gregg Henry). Jason has appeared twice before; in the original film's opening, he was present when Peter's mother/his daughter Meredith passed away. In "Vol. 2," he narrowly avoided being swallowed up by Ego's (Kurt Russell) expansion. The first "Guardians of the Galaxy" even had...

[This story contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.]
When the credits roll on James Gunn’s final installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, the story isn’t finished yet. In typical Marvel fashion, there’s two end credits scenes — one of which hints at a future for the group, despite this being the end of the road for Gunn at Marvel as he settles into a head role at DC Studios.
With Vol. 3, Gunn puts Rocket (Bradley Cooper), the genetically engineered racoon genius with a snarky attitude, at the heart of the story. Although Rocket’s traumatic past has been hinted at over the course of the previous movies, Vol. 3 dives deep into his beginnings as an experiment created by the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji). Critically injured at the start of the film, Rocket experiences flashbacks to his past, as the rest of the Guardians fight to save his life.

At the very end of James Gunn's 2014 film "Guardians of the Galaxy," a character called the Collector (Benicio Del Toro) sat among the remnants of his high-end collection of galactic rarities, destitute that it had been largely destroyed earlier in the movie. One of his collectibles, a living Soviet space dog, licks his face in sympathy. A voice from off-screen notes that the dog is gross. It was none other than Howard the Duck (voice of Seth Green), a 1970s Marvel Comics comedy staple and star of a notoriously terrible 1986 feature film. It seems Howard was also one of the Collector's prisoners. One might admire Gunn's chutzpah for including Howard the Duck in his film, seeing as the character still bears the weight of the 1986 film's failure on his shoulders.
Howard's appearance was fun, but it wasn't so well-received that it lead to a new Howard the Duck feature film.

[Editor’s note: The following post contains spoilers for both “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” and its post-credits scenes.]
While “Guardians of the Galaxy” filmmaker James Gunn has never played coy about his plans to close out his Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogy with this week’s “Vol. 3”, the wider franchise doesn’t seem to be too pumped about the supposed end of the road for its most distinct band of intergalactic weirdos.
So it should come as little surprise that when the third film in the trilogy closes out, it leaves the possibility of more adventures wide open, care of a pair of new post-credits scenes that tease a future for (some) of our spacey heroes.
By way of catch up: Gunn’s film ends with Peter Quill Aka Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) finally heading home to Earth to reunite with his grandfather, where he will also presumably try out being a regular ol’ guy for once, while leaving Rocket...

Ready for the farewell tour?
The marketing campaign for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” savvily cooked up by the Marvel Studios and Disney teams, has positioned it as the last hurrah for the team that formed in 2014 with the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” and who have endured for two sequels, appearances in both “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” as well as “Thor: Love and Thunder” and their very own seasonal celebration, 2022’s “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.” (They also have theme park attractions at Disney’s California Adventure in California and Epcot at Walt Disney World in Florida.)
Now that the final installment is here, we thought we’d break down what happens at the end of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” and its implications for the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe (or is it Multiverse?)
