Kathryn Emslie is responsible for setting the CFC's talent and content strategies, overseeing the design and delivery of its core programs, and expanding the CFC's slate of offerings with new programs and key international/marketplace initiatives, which create new opportunities and global relationships for Canadian talent and their projects.
As the head of programs, Emslie provides strategic leadership and design expertise to the CFC's programs and marketplace initiatives, and manages key creative and strategic alliances with CFC alumni, industry stakeholders, and national and international partners.
Emslie has participated in many festival/program juries, strategic committees, industry advisories and is a WIFT Mentor Award recipient. She is a voting member of the Academy, supporter of Human Rights Watch, and an active member of the LGBQT2S+ community.
