It’s been 10 years since audiences first met Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) in her quest for revenge on the wealthy Grayson family, who she believed were responsible not only for her father going to prison, but also for his death.
Loosely based on “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas, the series, aptly titled “Revenge,” ran four four seasons on ABC, from 2011-2015. It followed Emily (real name Amanda Clarke) as she moved to the Hamptons to carry out her plan, only to become more embroiled with the Graysons than even she could have expected and to learn secrets about her father than shocked even her.
Here, the cast and crew talk about the series’ overnight success, the confines of network television and about the departure of a key figure integral to the show’s DNA.

ABC is making some big decisions about the future of some of its pilots.
The network has passed on the Revenge reboot, Thirtysomething sequel, The Brides, and Valley Trash.
Ahead of the Covid-19 pandemic forcing production to halt on all scripted series in the U.S., the Thirtysomething(else) was considered a shoo-in on the network's 2020-21 schedule.
The potential series first entered development earlier this year, with ABC later ordering a pilot presentation.
Here's the official logline:
Apparently, raising children -- even grown children -- never ends, but who could have known how hard it would be for them to raise their parents?
Reboot of the 1987-91 series 'Thirtysomething,' with emphasis on the original cast's children -- the new generation of thirtysomethings.
Returning original cast members include Ken Olin (Michael Steadman), Mel Harris (Hope Murdoch), Timothy Busfield (Elliot Weston), and Patty Wettig (Nancy Weston).

ABC is looking to anthologize Revenge as it develops a Latinx reboot of the hit drama series.
The Disney-owned network has been developing a follow-up to the 2011 series, which starred Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe. The reboot hails from the original series’ creator/executive producer Mike Kelley, writer-producer Joe Fazzio, Temple Hill and ABC Studios, now part of Disney TV Studios.
ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke told Deadline that it is considering a different revenge story each season if the project makes it past the development stage.
“The idea would be in that series would be to do a different revenge story each cycle. Revenge becomes the narrative like an anthology,” she said.
The new version, which is written by Kelley and Fazzio, chronicles the story of a young Latinx immigrant. Guided by one of the original series’ favorite characters, she arrives in Malibu to exact revenge on a pharmaceutical dynasty,...

ABC is not done with Revenge after all.
Deadline is reporting that the broadcast network is developing a reboot of the hit 2011-15 TV series.
This new take comes from the original series creator and Executive Producer Mike Kelley, and writer-producer Joe Fazzio.
Both Kelley and Fazzio pen the pilot. It features the story of a young Latinx immigrant who arrives in Malibu to dole out some revenge on a "Sackler-Esque pharmaceutical dynasty, whose insatiable greed lead to the murder of her biochemist mother, the destruction of her family, and a global epidemic."
What's intriguing is that a beloved character from the original series is staging a comeback to guide this young woman on her pathway to exact revenge.
As for which character that is, we don't know yet. Given that there were rumblings that a spin-off series featuring Gabriel Mann's Nolan Ross, then...

The season finale of ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder had a central question swirling among fans: would anyone die?
The answer arrived late in the episode, titled Please Say No One Else Is Dead, closing out season five of the series with enough twists, surprises and cliffhangers to indicate it’s highly likely there will be a season six, even though no official word on a renewal has been given.
*** Spoiler Alert: If you have not seen the finale of season five, don’t read beyond this point. ***
To get right to the central question, it appears that Caplan & Gold managing partner Emmett Crawford (Timothy Hutton) is the episode’s designated victim of foul play. Crawford is about to have a drink with Tegan (Amirah Vann), who already suspects him in the death of Nate Sr. and is pretending to be interested in him in order to get to the truth.
