The film is based on Jenny Downham's debut novel "Before I Die". The screenplay was written by Ol Parker who also directs, and Paddy Considine and Olivia Williams co-star alongside the youngsters who also include Kaya Scodelario as Zoey, and Joe Cole, Franz Drameh and Tom Kane. The film also introduces newcomer ten year old Edgar Canham as Cal, Tessa's younger brother.
The film will be released in the UK on May 25th.

Joining Dakota are a host of young British talent including Jeremy Irvine as Adam, Kaya Scodelario as Zoey, with Joe Cole, Franz Drameh and Tom Kane.
The film also introduces newcomer ten year old Edgar Canham as Cal, Tessa's younger brother. Edgar who attends Esta, a Saturday drama school in Chiswick, also had a small role in War Horse also alongside Jeremy Irvine.
