On her way to present the Oscar for Best Visual Effects on Sunday night, Elizabeth Banks nearly tripped over her dress. In addition, someone dressed in a bear suit followed the director onstage, in reference to Banks’ most recent film, Cocaine Bear.
Banks began by explaining the importance of visual effects, noting that without them, the bear in her movie would look just like the person wearing the bear suit.
>Watch Elizabeth Bank’s uINTERVIEW Now!
The bear pointed at the audience and patted his nose, in an attempt to score cocaine, to which Banks joked, “You need to wait for the afterparty like everybody else.”
The bit continued with the bear miming each nominated film.
Banks ran into some trouble with her voice cracking throughout the presentation, but she was able to announce the winner in the end, Avatar: The Way of Water. The film beat All Quiet on the Western Front,...

Two precocious kids, Keri Russell, and an apex predator on buckets of drugs walk into the woods: stop me if you've heard this one before. I know for certain you haven't, but you're about to, because "Cocaine Bear" is here and he's high as hell. The first trailer for Elizabeth Bank's latest directorial effort has arrived, and the upcoming R-rated horror comedy looks like a bit of a departure from "Charlie's Angels" and "Pitch Perfect 2." Bloody, foul-mouthed, and surprisingly intense, the red band trailer for "Cocaine Bear" is exactly as wild as the title would suggest. Check it out here:
Yep, That Bear's Definitely On Coke
Bank's new film is inspired by a true story about a bear that ate millions of dollars worth of cocaine after it fell from the sky in Kentucky in 1985. That's right, a drug smuggler apparently dropped bricks of the drug from a plane,...

The big screen reboot of the Power Rangers is coming our way next year, and with any reboot, things are going to be a little different. The first big change comes courtesy of Elizabeth Bank’s interpretation of cackling, monster summoning villain Rita Repulsa, with our first look at the character coming via Entertainment Weekly. Gone is the drab, flowing robes and massive hair, replaced with sleek green armour, a slightly more alien look, and a necklace that could easily double as a lasso. It all screams edgy and modern day re-interetation of the character, as what happens with every 90’s property that gets rebooted these days, and I have to admit it’s a pretty cool redesign, as is the prospect of the usually goodie two shoes Banks in her first villain role. The actress went onto drop some details about Rita Repulsa 2016, describing her as an ‘alien warrior’ seeking world domination,...

Females, and especially the younger set, are proving their might once again at the box office. Elizabeth Bank's Pitch Perfect 2 is easily beating George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road at the North American box office, grossing a stunning $28 million Friday from 3,473 theaters for a whopping $64.3 million weekend, or that's the projection anyway. That doesn't mean Fury Road is a slouch, although it cost Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow a pricey $150 million-plus to produce. The sequel, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, grossed $16.8 million Friday from 3,702 locations for a

This week was a fashion frenzy! On the latest episode of Fashion Police, the panel left sunny Los Angeles and braved the snow in New York City for Fashion Week! Overall, the judges loved Elizabeth Bank's dress for the Berlin International Film Festival. She was Kathy Griffin and Giuliana Rancic's best dressed of the week! G, even looked into the camera and asked Elizabeth if she can have the dress! Heidi Klum however, didn't impress the judges in her white mini dress. Kelly even said, "She looks like Liberace's toilet cleaner. Sorry, it's too much." The first guest of the night was model Gigi Hadid and she dished on her friendships with huge stars...

Based on its new trailer, Elizabeth Bank's upcoming comedy Walk of Shame is less about a newswoman stranded in downtown L.A. after a one-night stand without her wallet, phone, or money with only eight hours to make it to work for a life-changing opportunity, and more about a newswoman who is hunted down like a dog by the police for wearing a sexy cocktail dress. Also, someone please just let this woman use your phone to call a friend! Tig Notaro's wig is great though.
