Exclusive: VFX company Mpc has beefed up its leadership team by hiring Ludovic Lochem and Sal Umerji as Heads of Studio for Montreal and London.
Lochem was previously Head of CG at Dneg London and Montreal. His feature credits include Blade Runner 2049, The Bourne Ultimatum, Dredd, and Avengers: Endgame. Lochem has also worked as a Dmp artist and later Environment Supervisor on projects including 10,000Bc and Quantum of Solace before accepting the role of Head of Environments at Framestore Montreal in 2016.

LipSync Post has recruited award-winning VFX supervisor George Zwier and VFX producer Paul Driver to join its visual effects department.
Zwier joins LipSync from Double Negative where he has worked on feature film projects including Thor: The Dark World.
During his career he has worked at the world’s leading visual effects facilities including Industrial Light and Magic and Weta Digital, and his credits include the Dark Knight series, The Hobbit, Moulin Rouge, I, Robot, Children of Men and Pacific Rim.
He won the 2010 Visual Effects Society’s award for Best Compositing in a Motion Picture for his work on Inception.
Driver joins LipSync Post from Cinesite where he worked on 300: Rise of an Empire and Jack Ryan. Prior to this he spent three years at Double Negative, where he was the sole visual effects line producer on Skyfall and took a similar role on John Carter of Mars.

Umerji had been VFX head of production at Molinare for seven years, wheer he worked on films including The King’s Speech. Prior to that he worked at Mpc on films such as Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone.
