In Captain Marvel (2019), the former Kree AI hive-mind ruler, Supreme Intelligence, might have poisoned the titular character’s mind initially by falsifying against the shapeshifting alien race of Skrulls. But she was totally on point about the dangerous potential of the alien race, which the ongoing Disney+ series Secret Invasion has already showcased and will expand upon as well. Disenchanted by the failure of Nick Fury and former Skrull leader Talos to provide the refugee Skrulls with a planet of their own, rebel Skrulls chose the extremist Gravik as their leader. Gravik’s hardliner mindset has been showcased through the Moscow bombing and his willingness to eradicate humanity and make Earth the new home for Skrulls.
As if the situation wasn’t already disastrous, it is also revealed that Skrulls have already started impersonating leading figures across the globe, gaining control over administrative and media sectors. The treacherous actions of...

Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Eisenberg in Fleishman Is In Trouble
Maybe it’s just been a busy year, but I feel like I’m very out of the loop with this whole slate. As is my practice I watched the first episode of just about everything, but with a few notable exceptions, like Fleishman Is In Trouble, The Patient, Ms. Marvel, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, I didn’t actually make it to the end of many of this past seasons contenders for limited series. In most cases, it wasn’t lack of interest but rather time. That’s going to make for an unusually hectic summer when I’m inevitably going to try to finish up all of the eventual nominees. Fortunately, I have been paying attention to the heavy hitters in awards buzz. That doesn't help narrow down the contenders much, though, since the field feels wide open.

Since Marvel Cinematic Universe started expanding its canon through TV shows on Disney+, there’s never been more characters to keep track of. Many new characters were introduced, including Moon Knight, Kate Bishop, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk. And with so many new characters, we are honestly afraid to imagine how many characters the upcoming crossover event, ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,’ will assemble.
However, apart from new superheroes, those Disney+ shows also featured brand-new villains and new special guest characters. In 2021’s ‘WandaVision,’ we’ve met Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, who is set to return in the upcoming spin-off ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos,’ but it looks like the series will also feature one more known name.
Evan Peters’ Ralph Bohner might return to the MCU!

The MCU is pretty dang low on Avengers right now, but one theory surrounding Marvel’s new Secret Invasion series is that it’s about to bring back a lost member of the Og team.
While it might seem pretty “out there”, the idea could solve a few of the MCU’s current issues, some of which arguably began when the 2019 blockbuster Avengers: Endgame brought the Infinity Saga to a box office-slaying climax and killed off big hitters like Tony Stark/Iron Man and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.
The mantle of Captain America was passed from Steve Rogers to Sam Wilson, Bruce Banner went off to have some family-related Hulk adventures, and a massive new MCU saga soon got underway. Sam became the focus of his own TV series, as did Avenger Hawkeye, while Thor went on to lead another big budget movie in Thor: Love and Thunder,...

James Gunn faced a monumental task in making Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. After all, he was trying to wrap up a three-film story arc gracefully, but he also had to keep it in canon with the other Marvel Cinematic Universe films featuring the Guardians characters. Not only that, but he also had to leave the door ajar for the possibility of the characters’ return to the MCU. And, oh yeah, there was that little matter of him being fired, then rehired, during the movie’s production process. But even with all that going on, he told us that none of those things posed the biggest challenge to him while making the film. (Click on the media bar below to hear James Gunn) https://www.
