Matthew Slamowitz is an award-winning writer, director, and editor based in New York City. He began his professional career as a first assistant director for the award-winning feature film "Full Circle", and went on to AD productions for Funny or Die, Revlon, Microsoft, and Panda Express before moving to production on studio films and network television series. After two years of production work, Matthew transitioned full time to editing and directing feature and short films, commercials, and music videos.
His latest film, "Water Dogs", which he wrote, directed, and edited, won Best Short Narrative at the Manhattan Film Festival and gained him The Next Great Filmmaker Award from the Berkshire International Film Festival, as well as praise from film critics such as Jeffrey Lyons. The films he has edited have collectively won over a dozen awards.
