His real name is Tenondé from the language Guaraní that was spoken by the now extinct aboriginals - The Charrúas. The name means "Van-guardian" or "The one that leads". His second name is Gabriel, a name given to him in honor of the Inca ancestor and revolutionary José Gabriel Condorcanqui Noguera, also known as Túpac Amaru II who died in may 18th, 1781. Teno shares this with the late rapper Túpac Amaru Shakur also known as 2pac who is also named after the same revolutionary.
