Cobra Kai season 6: Netflix announces premiere dates for 15 episode, 3 part conclusion to the series
Production on the sixth and final season of the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, a continuation of the Karate Kid film franchise, was delayed several months due to the writers and actors strikes last year – but the extended wait is going to be worth it, because Netflix has just announced that the show is wrapping up with a 15 episode season (previous seasons consisted of 10 episodes), and they’re splitting the episodes up to make it a three part event! As they put it, “The end of a legacy… deserves a Grand Finale.” They’ve also revealed premiere dates: Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 1 premieres July 18, 2024. Part 2 premieres November 28, 2024. The Finale Event comes in 2025.
I’m hyped to finally have premiere dates for most of the episodes, because this show has become one of my all-time favorites over the course of the previous five seasons. I grew up on the Karate Kid movies and always enjoyed them,...

Garbine Muguruza is away from tennis after announcing a break from the sport earlier this year and she likely won't be coming back to the Wta Tour this year.
The Spaniard has been struggling with her tennis for a very long time being unable to find her best tennis. She struggled for much of 2022 with this year continuing the struggles prompting to her to simply walk away from the sport .
It was not a retirement but rather a break with no date of return known. She announced her engagement in the meantime , admitting that life has been very good to her even if she's not playing tennis. Being able to step away from the sport was quite nice for her because most of her life has been dedicated to the sport.
Recently, the 29-year-old was back in Spain at the Chamartín Tennis Club where she received the Gold Medal for Sports Merit.

All good things must come to an end, right, and so it goes with Netflix’s Cobra Kai. The streaming service announced they’ve renewed the popular Karate Kid sequel for a sixth and final season. There’s no word yet on when it will arrive, but series creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg promised it will be soon.
The trio also promised it will be the biggest and baddest season of them all.
The one-minute video announcement features Daniel Larussa (Ralph Macchio) musing on his complicated past with Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). “The training, the tournaments, the rivalries, the lessons…it hasn’t always been smooth. But after all this time we’ve built something together to be proud of,” says Daniel. Johnny replies, “So let me ask you, do you have one more fight left in you?”

When Xolo Maridueña first stepped into the Blue Beetle suit, there were “a lot of nerves and exhilaration” that came with embodying the DC superhero.
“Excited is not the first word that comes to my brain,” Maridueña told Variety at the Season 5 red carpet premiere of “Cobra Kai” on Wednesday night. “It is nervous excitement, it’s antsiness. It’s the anticipation of knowing that you’re on the brink of something potentially big, but it still feels really intimate because you’re just with the cast and the crew.”
The 21-year-old actor will be portraying the lead role of Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle in DC’s first adaptation of a comic led by a Latino superhero. “I can’t wait for people to see one of the — if not the first — Latino-led superhero movies ever,” he continued.
Last month, it was revealed that Warner Bros. had scrapped plans entirely to release “Batgirl.

One series that I'm extremely excited about seeing is the Karate Kid sequel series being developed for YouTube Red called Cobra Kai. The fact that we are actually going to get to see what happened to these classic characters all these years later is so freakin' cool!
It's already been revealed that Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are reprising their roles as Daniel Larusso and Johnny Lawrence. You can see them in a behind-the-scene photo that was released above.
The series was also described as a half-hour comedy with heart, and the story is set 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. It "revolves around a down and out Johnny who, seeking redemption, reopens the infamous Cobra Kai dojo. It reignites his rivalry with a now-successful Daniel, who has been struggling to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi (the late...

Read our appreciation of Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven here.
* * *
“How old do you think I am?”
Ocean’s Twelve has a reputation that will always precede it; some have called it an anti-sequel, and publications like Entertainment Weekly have dubbed it one of the worst sequels of all time. Though both reactions are, perhaps, understandable, neither is remotely accurate. Ocean’s Twelve is an inherently self-aware sequel, possibly the most self-aware follow-up in modern history. What Steven Soderbergh, screenwriter George Nolfi (whose original script, Honor Among Thieves, was completely unrelated to Ocean’s Eleven and was sold initially before that remake had been released), and the slightly larger-than-before ensemble cast did was make a sequel to a critically and commercially lauded caper film that was wholly cognizant of the fact that it was a sequel to a critically and commercially lauded caper film. Ocean’s Twelve toys with audience expectations,...
