There have been many big-screen variations of the classic Japanese monster, dating back as far as the 1950s, but few outings for the legendary God of Destruction are quite as overlooked as Roland Emmerich’s 1998 rendition. Let loose in America’s beloved New York City,...

NBC has revived its previously cancelled fantasy drama project "Emerald City".
David Schulner ("Dracula," "Ironside") is attached to write, executive produce and serve as show runner on the ten-episode straight to series drama which was originally picked up straight to series in January 2014.
That previous version had Josh Friedman ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") attached to pen the script alongside Matt Arnold. The network opted not to move forward with the project after NBC and producers could not agree on a shared vision for the show.
The new take sees a twenty-year-old Dorothy Gale and her K9 police dog transported to the fabled Land of Oz, a place where wicked witches don’t stay dead for long and a young girl becomes a headstrong warrior who holds the fate of kingdoms in her hands.
This marks the first straight-to-series project to be revived in recent years, several other high profile...
