Sami disappeared, and no one noticed, Ciara and Ben remarried, Claire and Theo left Salem, while Paulina struggled with a long-kept secret.
Our TV Fanatics Jack and Christine are joined by Bradys from MyHourglass, a Days of Our Lives fan forum, to debate Ciara and Ben's latest wedding, Ej's tirades about Sami, whether Paulina should come clean, which character they've grown most tired of, and more!
(Don't forget to take the poll about Paulina and Lani!)
Are you surprised more people aren't worried about Sami's disappearance?
Bradys: No, I'm not, because Sami is a bad person and people have other things to worry about. I also think that her disappearance was "justified" by that weird message.
Jack: This is one of the most unrealistic things ever. Everyone should be shocked and concerned by Sami's "out of character" behavior. She is not Paulina, flitting in and out of people's lives on a whim.

Isabel Durant is hardworking, talented, and well on her way to becoming a major star. The 29-year-old actress has been performing for most of her life, and it’s obvious that she was born to bring joy to people’s lives by keeping them entertained. Most people will recognize her from her role as Claire Brady in the TV show Days of Our Lives. Soap operas aren’t always taken seriously, but Isabel has done a great job in her role and there’s a good chance that it will lead to more opportunities for her. Although her character will be leaving the show,

I usually hate fantasy episodes.
Since Ron Carlivarti took over as head writer, Days of Our Lives has developed a tradition of having ridiculous stories for Halloween and April Fools that turn out to be jokes or dreams.
But I have to admit that the April Fools Day episode on Days of Our Lives during the week of 3-29-21 was entertaining.
This year, Days of Our Lives promised that one of the fantasy elements from the April Fools episode would turn out to be real, and many fans hoped it would be Philip and Chloe kissing.
Philip is the best of Chloe's options right now, and I'd love to get a reprieve from this annoying, juvenile Chloe suddenly has feelings for Brady, so Kristen must kill her storyline.
So while I'd rather Chloe get a new beau instead of continuing to recycle her old relationships, I could get behind...

Days of Our Lives is starting September off with a bang...literally!
According to the spoiler video for Days of Our Lives during the week of 9-07-20, there is yet another explosion as Ben attempts to rescue Ciara from Vincent's clutches.
Since Victoria Konefal is slated to exit soon, we're likely in for a redux of Nicole's "death" story, in which a fire appeared to claim her life...until she made her way back to Salem. But could the writers have a surprise or two up their sleeves?
The first half of the promo is dedicated to Ben and Ciara's love story, building up to Ben screaming Ciara's name as a bomb goes off.
Considering that Ben was kidnapped in the aftermath of a similar explosion less than a month ago, everyone should be suspicious if Ciara's body can't be found.
Hope may realize that and head off in search of her daughter.

It's hard to say who is tortured more by Ben's ordeal: Him or viewers.
On Days of Our Lives during the week of 8-10-20, we were treated to nightmares, flashbacks, and another brainwashing attempt.
Yay for acknowledging that trauma doesn't just go away, but who thought fans wanted to see any of this?
If Ben had to be tormented, Ciara is the best person to go through it with him.
As a rape survivor, she understands what it's like to have lingering aftereffects of a traumatic event, even though her own Ptsd was not handled appropriately on-screen.
She was patient and kind, accepting fully that Ben might not be ready to have sex with her and encouraging him to seek help.
If only the next step were an actual discussion with Marlena instead of this ridiculous Vincent switcheroo, I might even applaud Days of Our Lives for changing its...

Here we go again.
Sami and Nicole have been enemies for decades, and the drama over Allie's pregnancy have pitted them against each other over and over.
And on Days of Our Lives during the week of 8-10-20, they will once again be at each other's throats thanks to Allie's latest decision.
According to the spoiler video, Allie is going to run away and leave a note asking Nicole to take care of her baby.
Hopefully this disappointing development will be short lived. Lindsay Arnold is a strong addition to the cast, and it's fun to watch Sami struggle with a daughter who is every bit as headstrong and impulsive as she is.
Allie's decision also sets the stage for the latest fight between Sami and Nicole, as Sami still thinks she has a right to dictate Allie's decisions about who gets custody.
I love Sami, but come on.
