Thomas Horn won on "Jeopardy!" during Kids Week with an earning of
31,000 after wagering 12,000 during Final Jeopardy. His acting career
kicked off when he was cast in the feature film Extremely Loud and
Incredibly Close, which was based on the 2005 novel by Jonathan S.

Thomas was born in 1997, the elder of two boys, to physician parents.
Raised in San Francisco, when he was in the sixth grade he entered the
National Geographic Geography Bee, coming third and was also placed in
the top four on two further occasions. Prior to his film debut his only
acting experience had been as the old Grasshopper in a school
production of 'James and the Giant Peach'. Chosen from over three
thousand boys for the role of Oskar in 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly
Close' he was awarded Best Young Actor at the seventeenth annual
Critics Choice awards.
