Phil Hester loves "The Walking Dead," but he aired one major grievance with the show over Twitter last night and this morning, and his criticism is hard to refute; the show's zombies are in pretty good physical shape. I'm inclined to agree with him, too, based on what I've seen in the first five episodes.
Also in the feed today, Brad Meltzer posted a major spoiler about his wardrobe for his new TV series "Decoded." Read on after the jump, and you can find out what that was, what Rob Liefeld thinks of the Deadpool movie script and what Kody Chamberlain this is wrong with the depiction of comics in national news coverage.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for December 3, 2010.
@philhester Friends, when I complain of the dearth of fat zombies on The Walking Dead it is not an appeal to logic, but aesthetics. #admitfatzombiesrule

With AMC’s new hit show ‘The Walking Dead’ re-sparking interest in zombies, screenwriter Craig Fernandez is hoping to do the same with Frankenstein. The writer is developing a script of the modernization of the Frankenstein monster for Sony, and Matt Tolmach is on board to produce the film, Cinemablend.com is reporting. There’s no word yet on how Fernandez will update the beloved tale, but his movie is just the latest suggested Frankenstein adaptation to hit Hollywood recently. Rumors are circulating that the Dean Koontz ‘Frankenstein’ series is heading for the big screen, as well as Kevin Grevioux’s graphic novel ‘I, Frankenstein.’ Fernandez’s Frankenstein movie is just one of the latest scripts he [...]...

The holidays are here, Roomies, and it truly is the most wonderful time of the year…. Okay, there are those crowds of holiday shoppers everywhere, all so rabidly hungry for deals that they’d trade their first born for $5 off the latest Snuggie to be pimped in a commercial by an ear-killing holiday-themed song. That does make a strong case for staying indoors, shopping online, and of course, watching TV (the only true path toward happiness — and vitamin D deficiency).

For the past five episodes, the plights of Rick, Lori, Shane, Andrea, Dale, Glenn and the rest of the survivors on 'The Walking Dead' have become a weekly thrilling experience.
But, all good things must come to an end. Like it or not, the first season of AMC's 'The Walking Dead' will come to a close on Sun., Dec. 5 at 10Pm.
When we last saw the survivors, the great light of the Cdc had shone upon them thanks to a very suspicious-looking doctor.
In this preview clip from the finale, 'Ts-19,' the gang meets Dr. Edwin Jenner -- and looks mighty desperate and nervous while doing so.

Even though Dead Rising 2 kicked a copious amount of ass, one thing missing was the protagonist from the original game, Frank West. I mean, after all he went through at the mall, it's kind of impossible not to long for another round of zombie killing mayhem with the guy. Capcom, bless its heart, has listened and is now ready to deliver.
From the Press Release:
Zombies have always been pop culture icons, but this year zombies and the undead have reached the top of the pop culture totem pole. New TV shows and videogames like AMC’s "The Walking Dead" and Capcom’s zombie videogame classic Dead Rising 2 have brought zombies into main focus for entertainment fans everywhere.
For the pilot debut of "The Walking Dead", 5.3 million total viewers tuned in on Halloween for the first episode. More than 2 million copies of Dead Rising 2 have shipped to retailers worldwide since its launch in last September,...

With "The Walking Dead" reaching its season finale this weekend, audiences will have a bit of a wait before AMC's brings back original drama. AMC announced on Thursday (Dec. 2) that production has formally begun on "The Killing," which will premiere its 13-episode first season in March of 2011. Based on the Danish series "Forbrydelsen," "The Killing stars Mireille Enos, Billy Campbell, Michelle Forbes, Joel Kinnaman and Brent Sexton and tells the story of a murder investigation focusing on the victim's family, the suspects and the detectives on the case, as well as the case's implications for local politics...

According to THR, NBC’s Chuck has topped the list of the top ten most pirated shows, along with cable-only shows such as Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead. The full top ten list, compiled by the folks at Pirate Bay reads as follows:
1) Chuck
2) Gossip Girl
3) The Event
4) Dexter
5) 90210
6) Lie to Me
7) The Walking Dead
8) Boardwalk Empire
9) Lost Girl
10) True Blood
There’s not many surprises on the list – Chuck has a huge worldwide fanbase, as does Gossip Girl; where as shows such as Dexter, The Walking Dead, True Blood and Boardwalk Empire are cable-only show that cost an arm and a leg to subscribe to – hence a higher rate of piracy from non-cable households.
The one surprise on the top ten list? Lost Girl. This little-known fantasy/noir drama series (at least outside of Canada) airs on the Canadian network Showcase and ranks as the highest-rated Canadian scripted series on that network…...

Whether or not tweeters were moved by celebrity pledges to sign off of Twitter to raise money for World AIDS Day, the campaign has become a topic of conversation throughout the comics Twittersphere. Brian Michael Bendis reacted earlier this week, and Brian Lynch decided to try and help fill the void being left by Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga today.
Elsewhere in the comics and movie production pipelines, Josh Howard crossed his fingers about "Dead@17" negotiations, while Mark Millar offered an update on "Kick-Ass 2." You can find out more about that, as well as who's been named the "Bea Arthur of comics" after the jump.

You're not likely to see 'The Walking Dead' and '90210' show up on the same list very often. Well, except for torrent website Pirate Bay's ranking of the most pirated TV shows.
It's no surprise that premium cable shows are ranked throughout the list, but the other random entries make it hard to pin down any sort of overall trend.
There are genre shows such as 'Chuck' and 'The Walking Dead,' both of which have a strong niche audience. Then there's '90210' and 'Gossip Girl.' They would indicate an already known fact: Young, tech-savvy viewers are doing the downloading. But there are some surprises, like one very popular Canadian series and several Us shows that pull in mediocre ratings.

With a short first season's worth of six episodes, one imagines that when AMC releases The Walking Dead on DVD it could come out on a single disc. That might still yet happen for while no official confirmation from AMC about what bonus material might be on the S1 set of Twd, there is now at least a rumor as to when we might expect to be able to buy the whole season of zombie killing drama.
The Hollywood Reporter put its ear to the ground and heard that AMC is looking for a spring 2011 release for the DVD of The Walking Dead's first season via its distribution deal with Anchor Bay. That was the only real piece of news that the trade could scrounge up, but it does give us an idea that AMC isn't thinking about holding onto those episodes until the second season is ready to air,...

2010 will soon be history. But it's not over until the fat lady sings. And by fat lady I mean critics and by sing I mean the mass publishing of top ten lists. Since I have screeners this year, I'll try to get started a bit earlier than usual and get my top ten list out to you in the final week of December. Until then, in case you missed anything... the best of November.

Anyone who hasn’t watched The Walking Dead series should. It is simply one of the best shows on TV nowadays. However I assume if you are reading this you are already watching. Otherwise why would you want to know what will happen next week?
At the end of episode 5, Rick Grimes and company found safe haven when the Cdc finally opened its doors to let them in. But are they really safe? I think we all know the answer to that question. Here is the sneak peek to episode six, Also be sure to take a listen to our Walking Dead podcast.
Episode 1.06, “Ts-19″ airs next week, December 5 on AMC.

If you dug Cartoon Network's new "Firebreather" movie last week, you may be in luck because art Andy Kuhn sounds optimistic that more animated action could be waiting around the corner.

The zombie craze continues. I think we can safely say that The Walking Dead's first season finale next week will do gangbuster ratings. The penultimate fifth episode of the AMC zombie drama last night drew 5.6 million viewers, a series high, besting the series' monster premiere that averaged 5.3 million. In adults 18-49, the series, which has already been renewed for Season 2, attracted 3.7 million viewers, also a record.
