Haunted Ulster Live is part homage to, and part parody of the BBC’s infamous Ghostwatch. For those unfamiliar with it, it was a 1992 Halloween special hosted by Michael Parkinson and presented as a live broadcast from a haunted house. Unfortunately, many viewers didn’t know it wasn’t the real thing and the BBC ended up fielding over 1,000,000 from concerned viewers. An early entry in the mockumentary/found footage genre it’s also the precursor of films like Kild TV, Deadstream, and The Cleansing Hour.

While Game of Thrones is set in fantasy world, it looks like we may have a real-life coupling! Dean-Charles Chapman, who plays Tommen Baratheon, and Nell Tiger Free, who stars as Myrcella Baratheon in the show's most recent season (the role was previously played by Aimee Richardson), are rumored to be dating. Buzzfeed was first to report the romance rumors surrounding the acting duo, who also happen to play brother and sister on the HBO hit. While there's no official confirmation that the 17-year-old actor and his 15-year-old co-star have a budding romance, a quick peek at their social media accounts will reveal that the two spend a lot of time hanging out off set (particularly since Myrcella has...

Spoilers ahead for the most recent episode of Game of Thrones. If you thought Myrcella's changed a lot since season two of Game of Thrones, you're not wrong. Just as the part of Tommen was recast, so was his sister’s, the princess whose betrothal to a Dornish prince was arranged by her uncle Tyrion so he could keep her safe, arrange an alliance with the Martells, and root out Cersei's spy, in one fell swoop. The actress who plays Myrcella now, Nell Tiger Free, is still sorting out what to call Jaime Lannister ("My dad? My uncle?"), but in this, her first-ever interview, she chats with Vulture about princesses for hire, what Myrcella would do if she were queen, and shooting kisses on her birthday.Did you ever have an occasion to talk to the previous Myrcella, Aimee Richardson? She posted a picture of herself with a sign, "Princess for Hire.

The official Game of Thrones Twitter account released even more new photos from season five today, including a couple good looks at our new Myrcella. Somewhere in Northern Ireland, Aimee Richardson is passive-aggressively faving all of them. The show's social-media department also threw in a short clip of Varys and Tyrion that looks to be from the season premiere. Essos looks good on them!

Here's a first look at 15 year old Nell Tiger Free (represented by Independent Talent) who stars as Myrcella Baratheon in the new series of Game of Thrones, taking over the role from Aimee Richardson, who played the character for the first two seasons.
Nell (who trained with Esta Charkham in Chiswick) previously starred in the BBC Christmas adaptation of the David Walliams children's book Mr Stink.
Myrcella is the sister of the deceased young king Joffrey, and the new king Tommen (played by Dean Charles Chapman).
In the second series she was shipped off to be the guest and ward of Prince Doran, betrothed to his son, and hasn't been seen since, but things are set to change with the death of Oberyn Martell, the Prince’s brother. She is seen here with another newcomer to the celebrated HBO series, Toby Sebastian who plays her betrothed Trystane Martell.

A new (old) princess is coming. When season five's nine new castmembers were announced during Game of Thrones' panel at San Diego Comic-Con, one actor, Nell Tiger Free, announced she was playing a role quite familiar to fans: Princess Myrcella Baratheon (but come on, we all know she's all Lannister), a character who has been on the show since the pilot. And with that, Aimee Richardson's prompt exit from the HBO fantasy hit happened. Fortunately, Richardson is handling the recasting news like a pro, posting the most hilariously sad (or sadly hilarious) video to ever hit Vine. In the short video, Richardson is wearing a crown while holding a sign that reads "Princess for...

Aimee Richardson, who played Princess Myrcella on the first two seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones, wants people to know she’s now a “Princess For Hire.”
Aimee Richardson Is Princess For Hire
Richardson, 16, had assumed that she’d be back in the role of Myrcella for Game of Throne’s fifth season. As the second oldest Baratheon child – that was actually born of the incest between her mother Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and Cersei's twin brother Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) – Myrcella stood to be crowned queen following Joffrey’s (Jack Gleeson) death at The Purple Wedding.
Following The Purple Wedding episode, Richardson took to Vine, placing a crown upon her head and saying, “I’m ready.”
Unfortunately for Richardson, Game of Thrones producers announced at Comic-Con that Nell Tiger Free would be replacing her in the role of Myrcella for the upcoming season. Once again taking to Vine, Richardson...

It’s a hard life, playing a princess on Game of Thrones. Sure, you get some guaranteed screen time whenever someone gets married. Sure, there’s always the ambient possibility that you’re suddenly going to become the most important character 40 episodes after you get introduced. But Thrones has also made a habit of recasting some of its minor characters, aging them upwards or beardwards, clearly operating under the assumption that people can barely keep track of the show’s 5,000 characters already.
And so it was that Aimee Richardson—a day 1 Thrones cast member who played nominal Baratheon/actual Lannister...

Being cast on HBO's "Game of Thrones" is hazardous. At any moment your character could be maimed or killed, usually without warning…although in hindsight it is always Always due their own poor life choices. But there is another threat. The threat of recast. Whether blowing through Gregor Clegane actors like tissue paper, finding a new Tommen Baratheon to take the throne, replacing Daario Naharis with a hotter upgrade, or just casting actors to replace previously used placeholders, no one is safe from the diabolical casting department. The most recent casualty is Aimee Richardson who played Princess Myrcella Baratheon for the first two seasons of the show. Shipped off to Dorne for "her own safety" by Uncle Tyrion, Myrcella's role is about to expand. To that end HBO decided actress Free Tiger Nell was a better fit for Myrcella's upcoming story arc. Upon hearing the news, Richardson took to social...

The former Myrcella Baratheon has taken to Vine to react to her Game Of Thrones recasting…
This article contains spoilers for Game Of Thrones season 2.
In the world of television, having a part recast is nothing new. In Game Of Thrones humungous cast, it seems to be a fairly regular occurence.
The latest for the chop is Aimee Richardson, who portrayed Joffrey’s little sister Myrcella Baratheon up until her character was shipped off to Dorne in season two.
With season five set to up-sticks and delve into Dorne in some detail, Richardson wont be returning to her role. Nell Tiger Free, who’s also appeared on telly in Mr Stink and Morse prequel Endeavour, will take up the part instead.
Following in the footsteps of replaced characters like The Mountain, her on-screen brother Tommen and Daario Naharis can't be easy, but the jilted princess has at least taken things with a pinch of comedy…...

HBO's Comic Con panel for "Game of Thrones" was a doozy, announcing new cast members for season 5, many of whom appeared in an exclusive video. The new characters pulled from George R.R. Martin's books include Oberyn Martell's brother Doran; his son, Trystane; a slave trader named Yezzan. There's also a new Myrcella Baratheon (previously played by Aimee Richardson). Among the bigger names on the announcement were Oscar nominee Keisha Castle-Hughes ("Whale Rider") and genre favorite Jonathan Pryce, seen in Terry Gillam's "Brazil," the "G.I.Joe" films, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films and the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies." They'll join returning stars Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner, Ciarán Hinds, Emilia Clarke and many more. Here's a breakdown of the new characters and actors, quoted from the press release: Alexander Siddig as Doran Martell Doran Martell is the ruling lord of Dorne...

We've already heard that Whale Rider's Keisha Castle-Hughes might be up for the role of Nymeria Sand, and now in their "What We Know So Far" report on Game Of Thrones season 5, Vulture name a couple of actresses that have been rumored for roles that seem to have flown under our radar. The first is Tania Raymonde (Lost, Texas Chainsaw), who has reportedly (her audition vid has since been removed) read for Obara Sand; and possibly replacing young Aimee Richardson as Myrcella Baratheon/Lannister is 15-year-old tv actress Nell Tiger Free. Remember none of this is official yet, and even if they've read for roles it doesn't mean they'll nab them. But some announcements are expected at Comic Con, so maybe we'll find out more then.

“Season five gives me nightmares”. It may not be the most inspiring quote from Game Of Thrones co-showrunner David Benioff, but as A Song Of Ice And Fire readers will tell you, his fears aren’t unjustified.
Book four of George R.R. Martin’s series - A Feast For Crows, the events of which would ordinarily be adapted for season five - is easily the saga’s least popular volume. Were season five to follow it slavishly, we wouldn’t see fan favourites Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen or Jon Snow back next year as none features in the fourth book. Instead,...

Tonight on Game of Thrones: Daenerys Vows to Take What Is Hers
Last week's Game of Thrones held a shocking death for fans who don't read the books. After Melisandre gave birth to a strange shadow creature in the previous episode, it crept into Renly's tent and killed the would-be king in front of Brienne and Catelyn. Despite Cat's protests that Brienne didn't kill her King, the two women were forced to flee. In the end, Brienne vowed to serve Cat in return for her assistance. In Qarth, Daenerys encountered many strange people, and revealed her plan to retake the Iron Throne to Xaro, who offered to marry her so that she could access his wealth.
Stannis swept in to take immediate advantage of his brother's recent death, absorbing the army of the younger Baratheon brother while his wife, Margaery, and his lover, Loras, fled back home to escape Stannis.

Chicago – Being an entertainment critics calls for top ten lists in December of every year but I’ve always been someone who believes that these things are not written in stone. I don’t think there’s a single top ten for film or television that is the same today as on the day I wrote it. Oh, they’re close, but the fact is that not only do some things age better than others but sometimes it takes time to fully appreciate something or to realize one was incorrect the first time around. Not three months after I wrote my Top Ten TV of 2011 piece and I can tell you this — The first season of “Game of Thrones,” recently released on Blu-ray and DVD, wasn’t high enough. It’s only March and I think it should have been #3. Maybe if I watch again, I’ll move it up...
