Exclusive: Ryan Carnes has signed with Sovereign Talent Group under its theatrical division.
Carnes most recently starred in the Hulu Christmas movie, Cupid for Christmas, alongside Melanie Stone, Natasha Behnam, and Richard Kind. Carnes portrayed Chris, the most romantically hopeless person on Earth who Ruby (Stone) must help find love if she wants to take over Cupid (Kind) duties upon her mentor’s retirement.
Carnes’ big break came by way of ABC’s Desperate Housewives when he landed the role of Justin in Season 1 working alongside Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, and Felicity Huffman. He is most notably known for his portrayal of Lucas Jones on ABC’s General Hospital first from 2004 to 2005, then from 2014 to 2020. Additionally, he made an extended appearance on the British sci-fi series Doctor Who, portraying the character, Laszlo.

Rlje Films will release the sci-fi/thriller film Beyond The Sky on DVD and Blu-ray on Nov. 6, 2018. Based on a story by Fulvio Sestito, Rebecca Berrih and Warren Thomas (Tell Me How I Die), the film was written by Thomas and Marc Porterfield (“Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462”). Sestito, who has won numerous awards for his short “The Showdown,” and has worked with Guillermo Del Toro’s Mirada and Tim Miller’s Blur Studios, makes his directorial debut with Beyond The Sky which stars Ryan Carnes (Valentina’s Wedding), Jordan Hinson (“Eureka”), Martin Sensmeier (The Magnificent Seven), Don Stark (“That 70’s Show”), Peter Stormare (Fargo) and Dee Wallace (E.T.). If you're into UFOs and stories about alien abductions, I've got a trailer here for a film you might be interested in called Beyond The Sky. The movie doesn't look like a great film, but it looks like it will be something that I'd enjoy watching. The film follows a skeptic who embarks on a journey to uncover the truth of alien abductions, and as you might expect, things take an interesting and scary turn for him as he come to realize the truth.
