- Simone Bruyere Fraser grew up in Ithaca N.Y. She was educated at University of Washington, Ithaca College, and Cornell University. She has a B.A. in Acting and Dance and a M.S in Communications. She was in ballet company from 7 to 17. She then moved into theater, commercial, print, T.V. and film work. She is the author of "The Eightfold Path of the Urban Samurai", and "What a Fish Can Teach You: and Other Poems". She has also worked in such companies as Saturn Films, Morgan Creek Productions, Creative Artists Agency, and Benaroya Pictures. She loves to act, dance, write, rap, and collaborate with others to make art that makes a difference. However, her true commitment is trying to do some good in this world by learning the art of living and helping others to live their dreams.

- It is the new year, a time of renewal, a time of rebirth, and with that there is sometimes a letting go of the old and a bringing in of the new, or in a more metaphorical version, losing the old self and a bringing-in of the new self.
- I have always loved hip-hop, and drooled over rappers dancing, acting, and poetry, but it never occurred to me that I could ever do it. When I worked with the kids in prison it made me fall in love with the hip-hop art form even more, but also made me feel further from being able to do it myself because I respected these kids, and their lives/culture so much and I came from a very different culture.
