While the long-mentioned rumor of Marvel assembling The Avengers against extraterrestrial beings, the Skrulls has yet to be debunked, today, the possiblitly may have been taken through the roof and beyond. Actor Clark Gregg, who portrays Phil Coulson, Agent of Shield, has used his Twitter profile to respond to the speculation, from a brief talk with our very own 'Josh Wilding' and myself. Though it's clearly true, expect a debunk in no less than an hour. However, with just those few words, Gregg may have confirmed not only that the Skrulls will appear in the highly-anticipated crossover event, but that he may be one of them. What do you think? Anyhow, The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Clark Gregg, Jeremy Renner, Kevin Pennington, Cobie Smulders, and Tom Hiddleston assembling in theaters May 4, next year!

My good friend from SpiderMedia, 'RealIronMan' has graciously shared minor details from stars of Joss Whedon's The Avengers film, Mark Ruffalo & Jeremy Renner. As Renner drops info on his 'Hawkeye' preparation and the script, Ruffalo teases with his "incredible" role, in the following notes. Jeremy have read the script. Calls it tremendous, but can't tell a thing about it. It's really massive & undertaking script He has a lot of training to do, some big archery lessons for going Hawkeye, haven't seen a costume, Joss didn't showed anything You're gonna see a lot of Hulk smashing stuff. The folks over at MTV caught up with Mark Ruffalo, where the actor revealed details on the script for Joss Whedon's crossover spectacle The Avengers. And more interestingly, he reveals details on his first look as the new Incredible Hulk in motion-capture. Movie Trailers - Movies Blog With this, we can assume that the new Hulk will look fairly different from the Louis Leterrier-directed Incredible Hulk film. And while it may be a big leap, I have reasons to believe Ruffalo's Hulk will have a personality; actual dialogue. What do you think? Fan favorite Kevin Pennington was quite busy on Twitter today despite feeling a little under the weather. to those who asked... runny nose, sore throat and cough :( His first interesting Tweet of the day was centered around his involvment (or lack thereof) in the upcoming 2012 epic 'The Avengers'. He Tweets: Anybody an imdb expert? Need to get avengers off there. I haven't signed for any character in that movie. So there you go. Straight from thekevpenn's mouth. No Quasar, no nuthin'. On another interesting note, I learned today via Kevin's Twitter that in 'X-Men: First Class', Havok has been promoted to Scott 'Cyclops' Summers' Father!!! "the red beam actually comes from Havok who they made his dad... try to take that all in.. :(" We will try, Mr. Pennington. It won't be easy, but we will try. And now a little update from a tiny superhero movie called 'The Avengers,' due out on May 4, 2012. First off, for now this should be taken as 100% pure speculation until it has been officially been confirmed, but a source who works at a news station in New York city has apparently just received an e-mail press release about a chance for fans in NYC to meet the cast playing S.H.I.E.L.D agents in the upcoming Avengers film during principal photography this year. Secondly, while shooting, actors from the S.H.I.E.L.D. crew will be making appearances and recruiting for "The Avengers Initiative." This would include Samuel L. Jackson. The most tantalizing tidbit might be the idea that Kevin Pennington will be playing Agent Wendell Vaughn, who most of you know as Quasar. Based partially on speculation and a tweet from actor Clark Gregg, who portrays Shield Agent Phil Coulson in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, the crossover spectacle The Avengers may have recruited a new cast member. Gregg's Tweet reads: Update: Clark Gregg is now claiming hes kidding about the casting, tweeting: Brit Marling is considered the "It-Girl" at this year's Sundance, co-writing & starring lead in two films Another Earth & Sound of My Voice. As for her Avengers role, being that this is sourced from a 'Shield Agent', she could be apart of the extra-government intelligence & security organization. Who do you think? Again, this tweet could have been misinterpreted, but The Avengers assembles Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Clark Gregg, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Kevin Pennington. And commencing filming in April, the team hits the big-screen May 4, 2012 in 3D!

It seems Marvel wants to do more than just put out quality films from this point on. They also want to go back and fix the mistakes they made before. This explains the reboots for Spider-Man and the X-Men after their terrible third films and now Fantastic Four seems like it'll be next.
The good news? The casting rumors are saying Adrien Brody for Reed Richards. He doesn't exactly look the part but he's tall and gangly and he could do the whole super scientist thing in his sleep.
There's more competition for the part of The Invisible Woman with both Amber Heard (Zombieland, Pineapple Express) and Alice Eve (She's Out of My League ) showing interest. I can't say they'd be perfect for the role, but neither one would need to dye their hair and wear creepy blue contacts. (Jessica Alba... Such a weird decision).

While no official casting has been announced by 20th Century Fox, rumors of contenders for roles in the Fantastic Four reboot have been making their way online, with names previously mentioned as top possibilities for three of the main heroes, Mr. Fantastic (Adrien Brody), Invisible Woman (Alice Eve) and Human Torch (Kevin Pennington). Now here's someone being linked to The Thing: Bruce Willis. According to ComicBookMovie.com the Die Hard star is wanted to play Ben Grimm on screen during the opening credits sequence, which will quickly present the team's origins, and then voice the orange, rocky character after his transformation. Another idea, heard by Screen Rant, is for Kiefer Sutherland to handle the mainly vocal gig. As we'd heard before, The Thing will be entirely CGI rather than an actor in a suit, a la Michael Chiklis' portrayal in the prior two Ff installments.

Last year, Fox announced its intention to reboot the "Fantastic Four" franchise with a new film. And while official word on the project has been scarce, the casting rumors are beginning to heat up.
According to a report on Comic Book Movie, Stephen Moyer is rumored to have been offered the role of Doctor Doom in the new "Fantastic Four" film. While the rumor is unconfirmed, it does include a mention that Doom will be portrayed as a master of the mystic arts and as the ruler of Latveria.
Moyer is best known for his role as the vampire Bill Compton on HBO's "True Blood." However, he has also previously starred in the title role of "Prince Valiant," a live-action film adaptation of Hal Foster's classic comic strip.

Just last week be brought you a story about 20th Century Fox reportedly eying both Adrien Brody (Predators, The Experiment) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (From Paris With Love, The Tudors) for the role of Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic, and that Amber Heard (Drive Angry 3D, The Ward) is up for the role of Sue Storm a.k.a. Invisible Woman, along with Kevin Pennington (90210, Tilda) being up for the role of Johnny Storm a.k.a. The Human Torch.
Now, according to Cbm‘s studio source, 20th Century Fox has reportedly sent out an offer to Stephen Moyer (True Blood) to join the cast of the Fantastic Four reboot as the villainous Latverian, Doctor ‘Victor’ Von Doom.
Since it’s unconfirmed by the studio, I would consider it a rumor for now. Moyer is pretty cool and he can pull off the evil eyes of Von Doom through the mask.

20th Century Fox is in the middle of putting together their "Fantastic Four" reboot and we're hearing lots of casting rumors. Since The Thing will be completely CG this time, the studio is looking for actors to lend their voices to the character. And according to Cbm and ScreenRant, Bruce Willis and Kiefer Sutherland ("24") are in talks for the part. Regarding directors, David Yates (four "Harry Potter" films), James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin) and Joe Carnahan (The A-Team, Smokin' Aces) are being considered to helm. As previously reported, Adrien Brody (Predators) is the top contender to play Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Alice Eve (She's Out of My League) is the top choice for Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Kevin Pennington ("90120") is rumored to play Johnny Storm (Human Torch).

20th Century Fox's plan to reboot the "Fantastic Four" franchise continues to gain momentum ahead of its planned production sometime next year for release Summer 2012.
Rumours began last week that Adrien Brody and Amber Heard were being pursued to star as Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm respectively.
Then on Satuday came online buzz (via Latino Review) that "True Blood" star Stephen Moyer is up for Doctor Doom who will be shown as the ruler of Latveria in the property.
The report also said Alice Eve is in contention for Sue Storm, while "90210" star Kevin Pennington would be up for playing Johnny Storm.
Then today Comic Book Movie reported that Fox is pursuing Joe Carnahan ("The A-Team," "Smokin’ Aces"), David Yates ("Harry Potter 5-7," "State of Play: The Mini-Series") and James McTeigue ("Ninja Assassin," "V for Vendetta") as potential directing candidates with one of the trio to get an offer soon.

The Fantastic Four reboot news continues to roll in with yet another pretty big casting rumor. According to the gang over at Cbm 20th Century Fox is pursuing Bruce Willis to provide the voice of The Thing who will be a full CGI character in this new Fantastic Four reboot. Willis would also portray the character in a few little scenes as a human during the open credits. I think Willis is actually a great choice for the role.
Fox is really going all out on trying to make this a big film production with big names attached. We've known for a little while now that 20th Century Fox wants to completely reboot the "Fantastic Four" franchise, new cast and all. There was a lot of things wrong with the first two films, so I welcome this sucker with open arms. All right, so Adrien Brody isn't exactly my first choice as a new Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards, but what about Stephen Moyer as Doctor Doom? That's the big word going around the Internet street right now that the "True Blood" star could be taking a dip into the Marvel property as Victor von Doom. The offer is out to him right now, so it's not a for-sure thing that Moyer will be part of the cast. Word has it that he'll be showcased as the ruler of Latveria and a master of the mystic arts. As you know Fox is currently in the process of prepping up for production on a new Fantastic Four movie, which will be a complete reboot of the franchise. According to an inside source, the studio is trying to get True Blood star Stephen Moyer to take on the role of Dr. Doom in the film. He's definitely not a bad choice to play the villain, unfortunately as of right now I could care less about seeing another Fantastic Four film. Spider-Man isn’t the only superhero currently being given the reboot treatment, along with Andrew Garfield’s web slinging ways, we also have a reboot of the so-so Fantastic Four franchise to – er – look forward to! But of course before every “great” reboot comes the rumours, so just who is rumoured to be taking on Johnny Storm, The Thing, Susan Storm and Mr Fantastic?

We begin today's roundup with a massive update on Fox's proposed Fantastic Four reboot, which as of now will not be called Fantastic Four Reborn as previously thought. As for the casting rumors, ScreenRant reports Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are currently in the running for the role of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. The casting of an Oscar winner like Brody would seem to stick with the theme of casting credible actors in such movies, but it bears noting that his name has already been discussed in connection to Edgar Wright's Ant-Man movie for Marvel Studios.
Amber Heard (Zombieland) is reportedly being pursued to play the Susan Storm/Invisible Woman character in the reboot, adding her to a shortlist that already includes recent X-Men: First Class dropout Alice Eve. Back in June, it looked like there was some news to report on the upcoming reboot of the "Fantastic Four" movie franchise with a new title ("Fantastic Four: Reborn") and registered website domains for the project. And while the validity of that new title is still up in the air, there are a few more uncertain, unofficial items that hit the wire recently which could merit discussion.
First and foremost are a bunch of rumors circulating about the actress who could portray Sue Storm in the new "Fantastic Four" film. Over at ComicBookMovie.com, two names have been thrown into the mix: former "X-Men: First Class" actress Alice Eve (who was rumored to be playing Emma Frost before January Jones took the role) and "Pineapple Express" actress Amber Heard.
According to the site's anonymous (read: unconfirmed) sources, Eve's departure from "First Class" may have been due to a better...

Who will be playing Johnny Storm, Susan Storm and Reed Richards in the upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four? We might just have some clues…
Appreciating that some were fans of the first two Fantastic Four movies that Fox knocked out over the past years, there were still many who were pleased that the studio decided to go down the reboot route, rather than trying to press on with a third film in its current line. As such, there's an element of back to square one for Fox with the project, as it looks to stop the rights to the Fantastic Four reverting back to Marvel (and thus Disney) by putting a new film into production.
It certainly appears to be making progress, too. We already know, for instance, that The Thing this time will be a CGI character, rather than Michael Chiklis in a suit. We also know that director...

Fantastic Four and the sequel Rise of the Giant Shiny Turd were big hits at the box office but they were also horribly bad movies. Fox, who owns the rights to Ff and isn't handing them back to Marvel/Disney anytime soon, will be rebooting the famed superhero group. But who will they get to play the likes of Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, Invisible Woman and The Human Torch?Hey has anyone else wondered how funny it must look if little Franklin walked in on his parents having sex and Sue was invisible during it? Just saying it might look kind of awkward for 'ol Reed.Back to the article at hand, first up is ComicBookMovie.com reporting that Amber Heard might be up for the role of The Invisible Woman:Heard, whose film appearances include Zombieland and Pineapple Express, will next be seen in theaters alongside Nicholas Cage in Drive Angry 3D.

With casting complete on X-Men: First Class, 20th Century Fox is beginning to discuss options to fill out their reboot of another mutant team, the Fantastic Four.
Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are both in the running to play Reed Richards (a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic), the elastic leader of the Four, according to ScreenRant.
The character, played by Ioan Gruffudd in the 2005 version and its 2007 sequel, has the capability to stretch and deform his body into different shapes to battle enemies. He’s also one of the most intelligent members of the Marvel family, possessing a mastery of physics, mathematics, chemistry, and all forms of engineering.
Rumored for the role of Sue Storm, Reed’s wife and a mutant with the powers of invisibility, are Amber Heard and British actress Alice Eve, who may have passed on the Emma Frost role in X-Men for a shot at being one of the Four.

Daredevil, Ghost Rider, and Fantastic Four have all been getting reboot talk lately and we now have our first set of proposed casting rumors for the Fantastic Four film.
Screenrant has Adrien Brody (who has also been rumored for the upcoming Ant-Man film) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers both in the running for Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic.
Meanwhile, Comic Book Movie tells us that Fox has been looking at Kevin Pennington (90210) to play Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch and Amber Heard (Zombieland and Pineapple Express) to play Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman [...]...

When word first came out that a Fantastic Four reboot would be made, /Film asked if you guys cared. The consensus? A resounding: "Meh." But could anything change your minds? How about the casting of Adrien Brody and Amber Heard? Those are two of the rumored casting possibilities currently being floated by Screenrant and Comic Book Movie, the former of which also notes Jonathan Rhys Meyers as being in the running for the same role as Brody. According to their sources, 20th Century Fox have been pursuing the trio as replacements for the parts of Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, characters who were previously portrayed by Ioan Gruffudd and Jessica Alba, respectively. I assume all but the most gender-confused will be able to deduce on their own which actor is intended to play which part. Comic Book Movie also states that Fox has been looking at Kevin Pennington,...

Back in July, we learned that 20th Century Fox was moving forward with a "Fantastic Four" reboot, called "Fantastic Four Reborn," and was planning to make The Thing completely CG. But what about the rest of the cast? ScreenRant is reporting that Adrien Brody (Predators) and Jonathan Rhys Meyers (From Paris with Love) are in talks for the Mr. Fantastic role, the character who is not only a genius but is also completely elastic. Regarding Sue Storm (aka Invisible Woman), actresses Alice Eve (She's Out Of My League) and Amber Heard (Pineapple Express) are rumored to be in the running for the role. And Kevin Pennington ("90210") is said to be considered for Johnny Storm (aka Human Torch). Fox is planning to release the new movie in theaters during the summer of 2012.

Not long ago, we reported that actor Kevin Pennington (the upcoming Scream 4) had been approached to play Captain Marvel, a cosmic-powered superhero, in the upcoming team-up movie The Avengers. Well, it’s been a few days, and now there are subsequent rumors that the good Captain could find his role expanded into future Marvel-based films.
The web site Avengers News claims a studio insider told them Captain Marvel (alias Mar-Vell) is being seriously-evaluated as a major player in post-Avengers movies. (Note: There are two Captain Marvels in comic book lore, one owned by Marvel, the other by DC; just in case there’s any confusion, the one in question is Not the character connected to the long-in-development Shazam film). "Marvel is still choosing which characters would best fit in their cinematic universe," the source reportedly said. "They don’t want to throw a character in for the sake of...

Last summer it was hinted that we might see extraterrestrial shapeshifters the Skrulls in Marvel's team-up film The Avengers.
The rumours have now resurfaced, with "several insider reports" all pointing to the inclusion of the aliens, who come from the Andromeda Galaxy and infiltrate Earth by disguising themselves as other human and superhuman beings.
In addition, it's said the Skrulls' main enemies, a race called the Kree from the Greater Magellanic Cloud, will make an appearance as mankind's allies. An actor called Kevin Pennington has been linked to the role of a Kree called Noh-Varr.
t's rumoured that the Skrulls (pictured above) will operate largely covertly in the first Avengers movie, turning the Hulk into a menace by behind-the-scenes mind-control. A full-on alien invasion wouldn't happen until the sequel.
In the original comics, it was Loki who manipulated the Hulk and this led to Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp and Iron Man...

When Joss Whedon was picked up to directThe Avengers, immediate speculation and fanboy hope was that it meant there’d have to be a role for Nathan Fillion somewhere in the cards. According to a “source” of Marvelous News, he’s set to play Ant-Man.
“Nathan Fillion is pretty much locked to be Henry Pym, and should be announced before any other new additions to the cast (think around Comic Con)”
This has all come out since the signing of actor Kevin Pennington signed a 3 movie deal with Marvel studios the other day and speculation began that he was going to play Ant-man began leading Marvelous News to debunk that statement saying Fillion is locked for that role. Pennington could be playing “Dum Dum” Dugan, Wendell Vaughn or possibly Hawkeye, no one knows but he tweeted he wouldn’t be wearing a mask. Marvelous News‘ reports that Pennington would be playing a member of S.
