Welcome to this review of Nxt: Stand and Deliver, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into the review and see what happened this week on Nxt pay-per-view (Ple) which takes place as part of the WWE’s massive Wrestlemania weekend…
Match #1: Joe Gacy def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Making his first Nxt Ple appearance in more than seven years, Shawn Spears battled Joe Gacy on the Countdown to Nxt Stand & Deliver. Before Gacy could make it to the ring, Ridge Holland, who had provided analysis on the Countdown show, cracked Gacy in the back with a steel chair. Spears used Holland’s attack to his advantage, continuing to attack Gacy’s damaged back with repeated back suplexes on top of the ring apron. Gacy somehow kept fighting, hitting a wicked uranage that nearly spelled the end for Spears. After an intense back-and-forth battle,...

Match #1: Nathan Frazer & Axiom def. The Lwo and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are officially headed to Stand & Deliver after the dynamic duo defeated The Lwo and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become the No. 1 Contenders to the Nxt Tag Team Titles. The speed of Frazer and Axiom was matched by Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, but the brute strength of Gallows and Anderson clashed with their speedy and athletic opponents. Chaos ensued when all six Superstars found themselves in the ring, and a Magic Killer to Wilde opened the door for Frazer to hit a scintillating 450 Splash to punch his team’s ticket to Stand & Deliver.

Match #1: Dijak def. Shawn Spears The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In a match with major Nxt Stand & Deliver implications, Dijak managed outlast Shawn Spears in an incredible one-on-one match between two of the brand’s best. As the two Superstars warred inside the ring, Joe Gacy appeared from under the ring and stole Spears’ signature steel chair, seemingly helping his former rival Dijak. After a brutal, hard-hitting affair, Spears went looking for his chair only to find it missing. The slight distraction gave Dijak enough time to recover and after another back and forth, he finally managed to hit Feast Your Eyes to give him the major win.
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Thea Hail def. Jazmyn Nix The following is courtesy of wwe.

Match #1: Asylum Match – Dijak def. Joe Gacy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Dijak vanquished Joe Gacy in a brutal Asylum Match, but the deranged Gacy still managed to send shivers down the Nxt Universe’s spine even in defeat. With weapons all around the ring, the two rivals massacred each other inside the ring with the likes of steel chairs, fire extinguishers, tool boxes, and so much more. After tossing Gacy off of the top rope onto a trash can, Dijak scaled the cage and hit a gravity defying moonsault from atop the structure, but not even that was enough to win the match. Match #1: Kiana James def. Kelani Jordan The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Kiana James is running roughshod over the Nxt women’s division with Kelani Jordan being her latest victim inside the ring. Jordan was unfazed by the experience of James and the threat of Izzi Dame on the outside as she even hit a picture-perfect moonsault to the outside to take them both out. The numbers game proved to be too much for James to overcome as Dame knocked her off the apron when the referee was distracted, allowing James to hit Dealbreaker and pick up the win.

Match #1: Noam Dar & Oro Mensah def. Von Wagner & Mr. Stone The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Von Wagner and Mr. Stone have never been on the same page more than they have been right now, but it still wasn’t enough to trip up The Meta-Four. The chaos started early as all four Superstars brawled before the match even began, but thankfully an official broke it up long enough for the bout to begin. The action was fast and furious with Wagner showing off his incredible power, but the numbers game of The Meta-Four factored in as Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend distracted the official long enough for Mensah to hit a cheap shot and allow Dar to sneak in the winning pinfall.

Match #1: Axiom & Nathan Frazer def. Edris Enofé & Malik Blade The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Even though the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic has concluded, Axiom and Nathan Frazer are still teaming together and picked up a big win over Edris Enofé and Malik Blade. The action was fast and furious as all four Superstars showed off their incredible athleticism, punctuated by a Spanish Fly/Phoenix Splash combo from Axiom and Frazer. After Blade wiped out on the outside, Enofé was left all alone in the ring where Frazer hit another Phoenix Splash followed by a Golden Ratio from Axiom to give them the win.

The team of Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker managed to put their differences aside to win the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic by defeating Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in the Finals. Breakker and Corbin were Superstars on a mission, using their power to dominate early with Breakker even launching his teammate over the top rope right onto Trick Melo Gang. Trick and Melo came out hot, but the supreme athleticism of Blade and Enofé evened the playing field in a big way, highlighted by tandem splashes to the outside. In a savvy move, Stratton targeted that shoulder throughout the match, using it to neutralize Dolin every single time she gained some momentum. By the end of the match, Dolin’s shoulder couldn’t hold up as Stratton hit her signature rolling fireman’s carry and then finished the bout with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to advance.

Match #1: Chase University & Tyler Bate def. Schism The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
On the Nxt Stand & Deliver Kickoff, Tyler Bate joined forces with Chase U’s Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail to battle Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid and the mysterious Ava of Schism in a turbulent Eight-Person Tag Team Match to decide who would have control of the university. Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. This is a special edition of Nxt, not a PPV but a “special event” in Nxt: Roadblock, so let’s get straight into the review and see what happened this week…
Match #1: Jailhouse Street Fight – Tony D’Angelo def. Dijak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With The Underboss Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo by his side, Tony D’Angelo was the one who delivered hard justice to Dijak in a brutal Jailhouse Street Fight. The action was fast and furious with Dijak gaining the quick upper hand thanks to a High Justice chokeslam onto a chair, but his momentum was short lived when D’Angelo countered a moonsault into a back suplex onto several more chairs. The two men continued to wage war on one another and their attacks on the outside culminated in a massive top rope elbow...

Match #1: Ilja Dragunov def. Trick Williams The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The Mad Dragon returned to the ring in grand fashion as he took it right to one of the most athletic Superstars in Nxt, Trick Williams. Williams came out incredibly confident landing a few early strikes, but Dragunov responded in kind with his aggressive style. The two Superstars continued to thrash each other with clubbing blows, but a top rope attempt from Dragunov went awry as Williams knocked him to the outside. Jd McDonagh appeared at ringside and joined the commentary team, seemingly trying to intimidate The Mad Dragon, but it was to no avail as Dragunov rallied, set a dazed Williams up in the corner, and nailed Torpedo Moscow to secure the win.

Match #1: Carmelo Hayes def. Apollo Crews The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Carmelo Hayes has been on a mission to prove that he’s still the cream of the crop in Nxt, and a win over Apollo Crews further solidified his place in the pecking order. Both Superstars showed off their supreme skills with highly athletic aerial moves combined with grueling mat technician skills. Hayes was able to slow Crews down with a strategically placed leg kick on the apron, but Crews overcame it and put together an incredible string of combination offense, including a massive superplex. The two men traded big blows, but Hayes finally got Crews down on the mat long enough to hit his signature Nothing But Net leg drop...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. This is the first Actual show for the WWE this week (Raw was a recap show), with that let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Julius Creed def. Jd McDonagh The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
A focused and motivated Julius Creed became a huge problem for Jd McDonagh. With the disrespect towards Diamond Mine fresh on his mind, Creed used his freakish athleticism to lay waste to his opponent but the crafty McDonagh used his experience and tactical strikes down the larger Creed. As the war waged on, McDonagh went for a moonsault but Creed rolled out of the way, hit a spinebuster, and then clinched the victory with a sliding clothesline. After the match, Indus Sher appeared and challenged the Creed Brothers to a match at New Year’s Evil.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Wendy Choo def.

Welcome to this review of Nxt: Deadline, the latest pay-per-view/premium live event from the WWE’s third brand and a show that features a brand new concept, the “Iron Survivor Challenge”. Let’s see what the hell that’s all about and what else happened on the show!
Match #1: Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Match – Roxanne Perez def. Cora Jade, Indi Hartwell, Kiana James and Zoey Stark The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Roxanne Perez and Zoey Stark started the first-ever Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match with both wrestlers looking to gain an early advantage in the grueling affair. Perez used her mat skills to attempt a pair of clever pinfalls, but the strength of Stark was on full display, thwarting any early would-be victories. Cora Jade entered and before making her way into the ring, taunted a helpless and hurting Perez in the penalty box.

Match #1: Joe Gacy def. Cameron Grimes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Joe Gacy is looking to lead Schism into a new, more dominant chapter, but first he was hoping to conquer the resistance from Cameron Grimes. As the action in the match heated up, Grimes would decleat Gacy with a pair of kicks that had the match headed to the moon. A new viciousness was on display, as Gacy whipped up a crushing backbreaker as The Dyad swarmed on the outside. Grimes would battle back with an incredible Poison Rana and took out Gacy, Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid on the outside. Grimes would then take the opportunity to head to the top rope, but Ava Raine would derail his potential victory and...

Match #1: Nxt Women’s Tag Team Title Match – Kayden Carter & Katana Chance def. Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tag Team Title Tuesday starting off hot with Kayden Carter & Katana Chance looking to defend their championships against Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark. The challengers made the first statement with a simultaneous catch of the titleholders’ splashes and powered them both to the mat with slams. A new era appeared to begin for the Nxt Women’s Tag Team division after Stark countered with a roll up on Chance that delivered a three-count. However, the official would sort out the situation and inform Alicia Taylor that a tag of Carter had been missed initially. Carter & Chance made the most of their second opportunity.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, which is continuing the road back to black and gold! With that in mind, let’s get into the review…
Match #1: Pick Your Poison Match – Rhea Ripley def. Roxanne Perez The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The WWE Performance Center erupted with the emergence of The Judgment Day to open Nxt, but Roxanne Perez proved she was ready to meet the moment. After Cora Jade selected Rhea Ripley to face her Halloween Havoc foe, the odds appeared stacked against Perez but the tenacious Superstar made a statement with a flying splash to take out her opponent outside the ring. Despite the gritty effort, a distraction from Dominik Mysterio teed up a Riptide to give the former Nxt Women’s Champion the win.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Shinsuke Nakamura def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo The following is courtesy of wwe.

Breakker never took his eyes off Jd McDonagh throughout the match, and when Ilja Dragunov emerged all-out chaos erupted among the Halloween Havoc combatants.

Match #1: Mandy Rose def. Fallon Henley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Looking to beat some respect into Fallon Henley, Nxt Women’s Champion Mandy Rose taunted Henley while she delivered a series of kicks. The abuse only fired up Henley as she dropped Rose with a kick to the back of the head and a massive right hand. Rose rallied to toss Henley around the ring with a variety of slams and suplexes. Henley fought through the pain to deliver a facebuster for a nearfall, but after trading a couple right hands Rose popped up to smash Henley with a running knee to score the pinfall.

Down 1-0 in the series, Nathan Frazer threw everything he had at Axiom in another fast paced match in an attempt to even their best of three series. Frazer tried to end it early, but Axiom showed his prowess again locking in a variety of unique submission attempts before delivering a picture perfect suplex. Frazer finally stopped Axiom in his tracks with a stunning mid-air dropkick, but the masked Superstar quickly rallied with a dropkick of his own before delivering a flurry of kicks. Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt 2.0, a show that – if I’m honest – rarely gets me excited to watch the programme these days. This week’s show was marked by the return of Zoey Stark during the 20-women Battle Royal! Let’s get into it.
Match #1: Jd McDonagh def. Cameron Grimes The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The fireworks from last week’s heated confrontation led to a fiery showdown between Cameron Grimes and Jd McDonagh as the two Superstars traded fierce elbows and kicks before Joe Gacy mysteriously appeared to take in the match from above the ring. McDonagh targeted Grimes’ left leg throughout the match, wrapping it around the steel post before leveling Grimes with a chop block. Grimes attempted to rally on one good leg, but “The Irish Ace” caught him with a Glasgow Kiss before hanging Grimes up in the ropes for repeated kicks to the leg.

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt 2.0, a show that – if I’m honest – rarely gets me excited to watch the programme these days.
