Netflix has released a full trailer for their upcoming animated series Stretch Armstrong and The Flex Fighters. The series was inspired by the classic late 70's-early 80's action figure that kids could stretch. The series has a very different kind of tone and vibe as the original toy, but it looks like a fun series that the kids will enjoy.
The story follows a high school student named Jake Armstrong and his two best friends Nathan Park and Ricardo Perez and they are accidentally exposed to an experimental chemical that forever changes their lives. They are transformed into unlikely heroes who embark on a series of adventures.
Stephen Davis, Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President, Hasbro Inc. previously had this to say in a statement:
“Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters is the first Hasbro brand to receive a Netflix original series order. We have been waiting for just...

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Hasbro's upcoming animated series Stretch Armstrong and the Freedom Fighters. The series was inspired by the classic stretchable action figure from the late 70's-early 80's. I had one of the toys when I was a kid, and although the first part of the trailer touches on that classic toy, this series is going to be something very different. It's a series that looks like it could be fun for the kids. Watch the trailer and you'll see what I mean.

I'm sure some of you remember the classic Hasbro toy Stretch Armstrong, which first came out in the late 70s. I remember having one of the toys when I was growing up in the 80s. It was a toy of a superhero that could stretch. At one point, Hasbro was looking at adapting Stretch Armstrong into a feature film and Taylor Lautner was attached to star. Thankfully that didn't happen.
Instead, Hasbro opted to adapt the toy into an animated series called Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters and that series is coming to Netflix.

Animated series Stretch Armstrong And The Flex Fighters is due to hit Netflix in November. Here's your first proper look at it...
A few years back, Hasbro were hankering for a movie version of Stretch Armstrong to grace the big screen. It was part of a bunch of properties they were developing, along with various board games and toy lines. They even linked Twilight's Taylor Lautner to the lead role, and tapped Breck Eisner to direct. At this point, it looks like that project is a lost cause.

In this week's Crowdfunding Friday, we've gone for a loose sci-fi theme. And the range of projects we've picked this time around come from a broad cross-section within that genre - there's a stage musical, a dark-looking science fiction thriller film, a tactical videogame based on Japanese super sentai shows, and a comic book set in a vibrant alternate universe.
The projects lined up here give an idea of just how broad the sci-fi genre is - and are but a tiny handful of the quirky, compelling new ideas lurking on sites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. So without further ado, let's introduce the first of this week's selection...
