Carla was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Due to her energetic and
vivacious personality, at the tender age of two, in her country she
started working on the small screen in commercials and public
announcements. As an adolescent she started studying Ballet and Modern
Dance in the Opera Theater in Maracay. Standing out as a dancer and
choreographer. She moved to Caracas entering in the Universidad Central
de Venezuela, graduating in the Performing Arts. She worked as
professional model, and debuted as an actress on Martes Television,
where she participated in successful Soap Operas. She is a fiction and
documentary film producer, actress, director and former producer and
talent of Sierra Alta Entertainment Group. Enterprise directed by
Miguel Sierralta. There she performs the task of producer and host of
the show Salsa Review, which gave her popularity and international
recognition. Throughout the past 20 years, Carla has remained
passionately devoted to educating about veganism, animal rights and
cultural issues. She speaks fluent Spanish and English. In 2006 she
created Carla Projects Entertainment, production and post-production
company that develops independent and corporate projects. She returns
to her career as an actress, participating in theater productions in
Miami, together with the Sociedad Actoral Hispanoamericana. She takes
intensive acting workshops with the filmmaker Ika Santamaria, and
collaborates in her latest cinematographic production FLEA market
finish LINE and played the lead role on the film Justicia Ciega by
Mercedes Christian and Jhonny Obando. Carla is presently working on
Voices from the Abyss her first documentary film produced by her
company. Carla became inspired to make Voices from the Abyss years ago
following several encounters with vegan activists like herself during a
series of demonstrations against the Circus and Vivisection Centers in
Miami. She hopes Voices from the Abyss will offer the rest of the world
an opportunity to experience how veganism and respect for all animals
will bring more needed change to the world.
