Exclusive: Malcolm D. Lee’s Blackmaled Productions, is helming a new drama series in development with Peacock titled, Drunk on Love. This latest venture is part of Lee’s first-look deal with Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and marks a step in amplifying the voices of creatives of color within the industry.
Drunk on Love is based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Jasmine Guillory, of the same name and follows Margot Noble, whose life is turned upside-down when she inherits a struggling vineyard in Napa Valley along with her estranged brother, Elliot. Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which features nine matches this week and plenty of Canadian talent. We’ve got regulars Paul Wight and Matt Menard on commentary as usual. So let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Skye Blue def. Tfa (Taryn from Accounting)
My Thoughts: This was a pretty decent and competitive opener for this week’s show and both women delivered throughout the match. Great to see Tfa get some exposure via Aew too.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Jake Hager def. Adam Knight
My Thoughts: Adam Knight looked like he might give Jake Hager a run for his money, especially given how competitive the previous match was, but no. This was a squash of the highest order with Hager eventually hitting Knight with a Vader Bomb to get the win!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Emi Sakura def. Zoe Sager...
