Ryan Grantham, the former “Riverdale” actor who pleaded guilty to killing his mother, was sentenced to life in prison with the ability to apply for parole after 14 years on Thursday.
The sentence, handed down by a Canadian judge, was automatic with his second-degree murder conviction, with only the length of parole ineligibility in question.

The 24-year-old’s sentencing was levied by Justice Kathleen Kerr of the British Columbia Supreme Court in Vancouver. Court proceedings were held in June to determine when Grantham should be eligible for parole.
