She “spent her time biking around Toronto, spending time with her family, and recentering,” according to a new interview with Bustle.
According to the magazine, McAdams turned down five major films while “recentering” between 2006 and 2008:The Devil Wears Prada, Casino Royale, Mission: Impossible III, Iron Man, and Get Smart.

“From the age of 18 years old [Hathaway] has been objectified regularly, and despite loving her as a performer I’ll tell you when I fell in love with her,” Kaling said of her “Ocean’s 8” co-star, as reported by People.

Obliviousness, for spring? How original.
In a new biography of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, sources claim that Wintour told then managing editor Laurie Jones that she had no idea who her past assistant was that penned novel “The Devil Wears Prada.” It was only until the book was adapted for the big screen starring Meryl Streep in the allegedly Wintour-inspired role that the Vogue icon took notice.
“On May 21, 2002, Women’s Wear Daily reported that ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ had sold to Doubleday for a reported 250,000. When Anna learned about the book, she said to [managing editor Laurie] Jones, ‘I cannot remember who that girl is,'” author Amy Odell wrote in “Anna: The Biography,” via Entertainment Weekly, citing Wintour’s confusion over author Lauren Weisberger who previously worked as her assistant.
Streep went on to portray Miranda Priestly, a character that production maintained was “not a direct caricature” of Wintour. Anne Hathaway played the Weisberger insert,...

Miranda Priestly is back, but you won't have to stream The Devil Wears Prada or buy Broadway tickets to get a dose of her. The fictional magazine editor played by Meryl Streep is now available as a Funko Pop doll, which means you can keep her - and her very brutal honesty - by your side at all times. The doll is a replica of Miranda: she's dressed in a black faux-fur coat, a pink dress, and her iconic gold-rimmed glasses, with a mock-up of Runway in her hand.
There's also a doll modeled after Miranda's fish-out-of-water assistant, Andrea Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway in the film), who wears the biker jacket and combat boots she's seen wearing after getting a makeover in the movie. The Miranda Priestly Funko Pop! Doll ($11) and Andy Sachs Funko Pop! Doll ($11) are both available to preorder now over at Amazon, and they'll officially be released on Feb.

The Devil Wears Prada is designer crack. I'd huff it if I could. It's flashy, kickass, full of Madonna's gayest songs, and best of all, it sincerely gets better with each viewing. The 2006 adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's bestseller completely improves upon its source material, adding more zing and cruelty than an average Three's Company reunion. If you flip on TBS and The Devil Wears Prada happens to be on, I dare you to try turning it off. Anne Hathaway's foot-long bangs and Meryl Streep's harsh, italic smirk will stun you into submission. Here are six official reasons why The Devil Wears Prada (costarring Emily Blunt of this week's new release Looper) may be the best movie ever.
1. Feral Meryl forever
Little Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is a do-gooder fresh from Northwestern who just wants to journalize. She wants to write real stories about unions, scoops, and importance.

Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright has admitted that she found a Devil Wears Prada plot which involved J.K. Rowling's series "grating". The storyline saw Meryl Streep's character Miranda Priestly request that her assistant Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) retrieve the unpublished manuscript of the final book for her children. Speaking to Nylon magazine, Wright - Ginny Weasley in the movies - insisted that the cast never had early access to the books. "Actually, the most grating thing I've ever seen in a movie is in The Devil Wears Prada, when those two little kids get the Harry Potter books ahead of time," (more)...

Anne Hathaway's entire family denounced Catholicism after her elder brother Michael 'came out' as gay. The Andrea Sachs of "The Devil Wears Prada" star was a member of the Catholic Church growing up in New Jersey, but the actress and her parents, Gerald and Kate, as well as her younger sibling Thomas decided to leave the faith to support Michael after he revealed his sexuality.
The 27-year-old actress tells Britain's GQ magazine, "The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out. Why should I support an organization that has a limited view of my beloved brother?"
And Hathaway admits she's still trying to figure out her religious beliefs, "So I'm... nothing (no denomination). F**k it, I'm forming. I'm a work in progress."...
