An innovative title, The Dead Ones was developed by director Jeremy Kasten (The Attic Expeditions) and writer Zach Chassler. In the film, four outcast teens are on clean-up duty and serving Summer detention. When four masked killers turn up, they must confront a real horror. Those fighting the horror include actors: Sarah Rose Harper ("The Last Time"), Brandon Thane Wilson (The Blacklist), Katie Foster and several others.
