Englishman in L.A.
The love affair between U.S. viewers and British TV producers has been going on for decades but Cameron Moir has spiced things up with a brand new series that you can only watch online. As the title suggests, Englishman in L.A. is about an English author who comes to the U.S. to promote his best-selling novel. While in L.A., he finds himself being sucked into the glamorous world of Hollywood. However, Tom Dingle (Moir) may be a touch too “English” for Hollywood and Hollywood bigwigs may butcher his work beyond recognition.
It’s an amusing premise and it forms the basis of a hilarious new sitcom that’s currently being broadcast on Youtube. The use of the online platform is something that recently worked well for James Corden whose BBC hit-com The Wrong Mans was broadcast in the U.S. on Hulu.
