Karolina is a multi-faceted creative producer with extensive expertise in film and culture. She has worked on award winning productions, including co-producing the multi-award winning and Academy Award runner up short film "Into the Blue".
With 15 years of international film industry experience in a variety of crew roles (i.e. Production Manager on hit TV-show "Young Royals" for Netflix, Location Manager for Warner Bros. Sweden, Assistant Director on Swedish-Finish co-production), Karolina is a producer who nurtures her teams.
Karolina has been selected to a number of Screen Queensland initiatives, like attending the annual Australian International Movie Convention in 2019, Creative Consultations with Joe Brumm (Bluey), Creatives LOOP International in 2021. As the WIFT Australia (Women In Film and Television) Queensland chapter's Event Manager, she utilised the lock downs of 2020 to create and produce the virtual masterclass series Excellence in Craft (with financial support from Screen Queensland) which hosted guest speakers like Cinematographers Mandy Walker ACS, ASC and Bonnie Elliott, Editor Jill Bilcock and Director Niki Caro. In 2022 the Excellence in Craft Masterclasses have continued with the latest episode co-hosted with WIFTI (Women in Film and Television International), AWG (Australian Writer's Guild) and ADG (Australian Director's Guild) with directors Katina Medina Mora ("Emily in Paris", "Firefly Lane") and Leticia Cáceres ("Bump").
Karolina continues working with her longstanding mentor, producer Leanne Tonkes. This relationship was part of the Screen Australia Gender Matters and WIFT Australia MentorHer program in 2020 and 2021.
Karolina has a Bachelor in Film & Photography from Napier University/Screen Academy Scotland.
