Mark Margolis, a veteran actor with hundreds of credits dating back to the 1970s but perhaps best known for his Emmy-nominated portrayal of cartel don Hector “Tio” Salamanca on TV’s Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, died Thursday at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City following a short illness. He was 83.
His death was announced by son Morgan Margolis, the CEO of Knitting Factory Entertainment. Morgan Margolis said he and Mark’s wife Jacqueline were at his bedside at the time of death.
“He was one of a kind,” said manager Robert Kolker of Red Letter Entertainment. “We won’t see his likes again. He was a treasured client and a lifelong friend. I was lucky to know him.”
Born on November 26, 1939 in Philadelphia, Margolis briefly attended Temple University before moving to New York City to study acting, first under Stella Adler at the Actors Studio and subsequently...

The Badlands can be a very dangerous place nowadays.
Rhys Coiro stars in this intense thriller Valley of Bones about a paleontologist discovering a T-rex bone in the Badlands of North Dakota. She enlists the help of a recovering meth addict, but eventually their shady pasts caught up with them.
The film also stars Autumn Reeser, Steven Molony, Mason Mahay, Alexandra Billings, Bill Smitrovich and Mark Margolis. It is directed by Dan Glaser.
Lrm got a chance to sit-down to speak with Rhys Coiro one-on-one in Los Angeles about his role in Valley of Bones. He plays the brother to Autumn Reeser’s character in the film. It was a refreshing role, in which he was known playing bad boys or bad guys for most of his career. He also discussed about North Dakota film production, which is a rarity for any films to be produced there due to distance,...

I've got a trailer here for an upcoming new thriller called Valley of Bones, which is a film I've never heard about until today. It actually looks like an interesting movie! The story revolves around a dinosaur archeological dig that takes a deadly turn, but not in the Jurassic Park kind of way.
The movie has a modern day western vibe to it, which is what lured me in. I enjoy watching those kinds of films, like No Country For Old Men and Hell or High Water. It might not be as great as those films, but I'll still watch it.
The movie is described as a "nail-biting adventure thriller set in the oil-rich Badlands of western North Dakota." It stars Autumn Reeser (The Oc) as Anna, who is a single mother and paleontologist and Steven Molony as McCoy, a meth-addicted oil worker.
The two characters "form an unlikely bond...

If history has taught us anything (on the silver screen, at least), it's that unearthing dinosaur bones usually leads to trouble. The Jurassic Park franchise made a mint in exploiting the dangers of resurrecting ancient creatures, and now a new thriller from director Dan Glaser is...

Pinching Penny is written, produced and directed by an up-and-coming director by the name of Dan Glaser. Just from the trailer alone (which you'll find below), you can tell Glaser could be one to watch out for. Showing some promise, Glaser's feature length film debut shows some definite Guy Ritchie vibe. And anybody that's seen Snatch or Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels should knows that's a good thing.
