- From October 2013 to August 2014 she was separated from her husband Doug Hutchison, in which she admitted that the large age difference was the main reason for divorce. In February 2016 they separated again for a second time, as she was seen getting close with another man while out in Hollywood on Thursday, February 9. Courtney later discussed how they were groomed to The Daily Beast.
- Married Doug Hutchison on May 20, 2011, in the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was age 51 and she was age 16. Both of Stodden's parents were supportive of the choice; her mother Krista signed a legal consent form allowing the marriage, as well as having signed their marriage certificate as a witness. Stodden was Hutchison's third wife.

- In December 2017, Stodden said to Radar Online that she was bullied and abused over her mature looks from age 12 when she was in the sixth grade until her mother pulled her out of school at 16 to be home-schooled. Bullies had fractured her left arm and she felt unsafe. Stodden revealed that her insecurities and depression were developed from being bullied.
- Was Miss Ocean Shores (Washington) Teen USA 2009 and represented her city in the Miss Washington Teen USA 2010 pageant (in which the winning crown went to Camilla Cyr of Kirkland, Washington).
- As Miss Ocean Shores 2009, her "personal platform is to help spread the awareness of skin cancer among teens and to help with prevention". This subject is important to her because her mother's melanoma was caught in early detection which saved her life.
- Was the winner of the 2012 Chelsea Award presented by Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith on their podcast Hollywood Babble-on, New Years Eve 2012 (ep 66).
- Had nose surgery (combination of septorhinoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery). She had breathing problems, a deviated septum, and she also wanted a better-looking nose. (2016)
