A man who confessed to a murder on his deathbed has survived and will now serve a life prison sentence. James Washington from Nashville, thinking he was going to die as he was suffering a heart attack, was clearing his conscience. He confessed to killing Joyce Goodener in July 1995, reports Wsmv. However, Washington - who was already in prison for a different crime - survived the scare and has since been found guilty of the murder. Prison guard James Tomlinson recalled to the jury: "He (more)...

*spoiler alert! Director: Timo Vuorensola. Writers: Johanna Sinisalo (original story), Jarmo Puskala, Michael Kalesniko, and Timo Vuorensola. Cast: Julia Dietze, Christopher Kirby and Götz Otto. Nazis have fled to space! Who would have thunk it? In the movie Iron Sky, the last remaining survivors from this regiment fled to the dark side of the moon and spent the last 70 or so years plotting to take over Earth again. But nobody told them that World War II is over and life has gone forwards ... or maybe not. But now they want to come back, with no thanks to astronaut James Washington (Christopher Kirby). He found their moon base and that does not bode well for humanity. When this space explorer gets captured, the Nazi's plans are accelerated. That leads to some humourous nods to B movie culture and retro-a-go-go. The music is what sells this product. The driving magic by Slovenian...

In the film, a secret Nazi space program evaded destruction by fleeing to the Dark Side of the Moon in the last moments of World War II. Every once in a while, a film is released with such a ludicrous premise that you simply have to take note and Iron Sky is such a film. It is set at the end of WWII and follows various high-ranking Nazi officials setting up a well-equipped (and very smartly polished and decked-out) base on the moon. Jump forward to 2018 where the President of the United States (Stephanie Paul), a Sarah Palin lookalike, is up for re-election and to help her campaign, has Nasa send leaves astronaut/ male model James Washington (the charismatic and amusing Christopher Kirby) Nasa to the moon for their first landing in decades (her campaign poster reads: ‘Black to Space: Yes She Can’.). This leaves Washington at the mercy of the followers of the so called ‘Fourth Reich’. The Nazi brass, including Moon Fuehrer Wolfgang Kortzfleiche (cult legend Udo Kier), and his protoge-turned-rival Klaus Adler (Gatz Otto...

Iron Sky is finally here! Director Timo Vuorensola’s Finnish-German-Australian science fiction comedy, six years in the making, represents a collaborative approach from conception to marketing. Iron Sky milked the Internet for all it’s worth, building up a community of artists and fans who got involved one way or another including the kicking in of much of the film’s funding (these deep-pocket collaborators are listed in the credits). In a happy ending for dreamers everywhere, the result is a genuine success story for what is, after all, a small movie with a tighter-than-tight budget. But while the budget was necessarily low, the filmmaker’s ambition is unmistakably high and Iron Sky looks like a film that cost many many times its actual budget. If you enjoy your sci-fi with some satire and count Brazil, Dr. Strangelove, and Mars Attacks among your faves, do not...

We've seen about four trailers for the sci-fi moon Nazi invasion film Iron Sky. This movie sounded really cool at first, I loved the initial concept, and liked the first couple of teaser trailers. I'm not sure if the comedy aspect they've thrown into it will work. I hoped the film would have more of a serious tone, like what we saw in the first couple of teaser trailers. There are movie situations like this where serious is funnier than comedy. I hope the movie turns out to be good though! I'm rooting for it.

Iron Sky is ludicrous, trashy, and downright offensive at times...and it joyfully delights in all these things to hilarious effect. For a taste of the Finnish film’s tone, one need only consult its tag-line, one of the greatest ever committed to a poster: “In 1945, Nazis went to the moon; in 2018, they’re coming back.”
If every gag in the film was as funny as that, we would have a masterpiece on our hands and it would be a tragedy that it’s only in cinemas for a week. As things stand though, it’s very funny but flawed. Likely available on DVD by the time you read this, it’s more than worth checking out, not least because the dodgy CGI and acting won’t seem quite so preposterous when downsized to a TV set.
So the year is 2018. Sarah Palin is in the Whitehouse and to boost...

When you hear “Space Nazis,” certain episodes of Star Trek come into mind. A popular theme in works of science fiction, it is a phrase coined with the idea of Nazis settling on the Moon after their defeat in World War II, not to mention it being a popular conspiracy theory.
Iron Sky is the latest reimagining of this theory.
The film is set in 2018. James Washington (Christopher Kirkby), a black male model, is sent to the Moon in a bid to help the President (Stephanie Paul) be re-elected. He is captured by the Nazis, who have been based on the dark side of the moon since 1945, and subsequently becomes involved in their plan to invade and rule Earth.

Iron Sky offers up an intriguing Nazis on the Moon concept, but can it live up to its batty premise? James finds out...
For the last few years there’s been something of a buzz building around the Finnish/German/Australian co-production, Iron Sky. Famously pitched to investors at Cannes in 2008 off the back of an impressive VFX demo reel, director Timo Vuorensola’s sci-fi comedy about Nazis on the Moon finally went into production in late 2010.
With the addition of cult movie icon Udo Kier to the cast and several strong early trailers, anticipation was high that the finished film just might deliver on its gloriously bonkers premise. Unfortunately, that doesn’t really happen and - despite its strong high concept - Iron Sky never seems entirely sure of what type of film it’s trying to be.

If you're excited to see see moon Nazis invade earth, here's the first four minutes of the sci-fi film Iron Sky. The clip shows a lunar expedition that surprisingly comes across a massive Nazi base on the moon. From what I've seen in previous trailer, the movie looks like a lot of fun. The film recently screened at SXSW, and unfortunately the reviews I've seen haven't been kind. As outrageous and crazy this film looks like it could be, according to some of the reviews I've read, it doesn't take it to the level of lunacy that it should. I'll still give the film a chance, as the premise is so ridiculous.
Here's the story breakdown:
Towards the end of World War II the Nazi scientists made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found...

The promise of Iron Sky is a great and wondrous one. It’s Moon Nazis. Moon Nazis, people. Swirl it around in your mind for a moment. Those two words alone should put enough fuel in the car to get it to the theater, but with a concept like a Fourth Reich hiding on the dark side of the moon, the movie can only take one of two paths. Sadly, all too sadly, it takes a wrong turn and ends up riding the highway all the way into the city dump at the end of it. Stupid, cheap and aiming above its Iq, this movie is the bad kind of garbage. It goes without saying that there’s a good kind. Some of the best spoof movies have fallen under that category. Like all tones, there are right and wrong ways to handle them, and although director Timo Vuorensola‘s long-awaited sci-fi explosion of bizarre alternate history...

Here's the brand spankin' new theatrical trailer for the awesome looking retro sci-fi film Iron Sky. There, they plan their next attack on the world, and then invade it... in flying saucers.

It’s a ridiculous idea for a movie, but one that grabbed enough attention to get the independent sci-fi war comedy’s $7.5 million budget partially crowd-funded. Now backers get to see the fruits of their investments in the teaser trailer for the film, which will premiere next month at the Berlin Film Festival.
Starring beloved cult film actor Udo Kier — who has specialized in playing nefarious German characters since his creepy turn as Dr. Frankenstein in Andy Warhol’s Frankenstein – Iron Sky’s premise involves gravity-defying Nazis attacking Earth from a base hidden on the dark side of the moon. From the looks of it, the movie shares the same campy, humorous, tongue-in-cheek nature as Fdr: American Badass, another warped selection based loosely (very loosely) on history.

I've been following this awesome looking sci-fi war film Iron Sky for quite awhile, and today we have a new trailer to show you! The movie tells the story of how Nazis retreated to a secret base on the moon where they would plan their next attack on the world, and then invade it... in flying saucers.
Iron Sky has been though a long a tough road, but with tons of audience support and after five years the film has been completed, and it looks so cool! The film will premiere next month at the Berlin Film Festival, which I think is funny, because of the subject a matter of the film.
Here's the Synopsis:
Towards the end of World War II the Nazi scientists made a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity. From a secret base built in the Antarctic, the first Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the...

Germany isn't all that keen on movies that could possible promote Nazi sensibility. While the tongue-in-cheek sci-fi war movie Iron Sky, in which Nazis attack Earth from a secret base housed on the dark side of the moon, can't possibly be construed as a pro-Nazi movie, it is still a bit remarkable that the film will premiere next month at the Berlin Film Festival. Iron Sky is a partially crowd-funded [1] indie that has been really big on web-based PR over the past couple years. But the film is finished, and the teaser trailers that have been released over the last year or so are now complimented by a full trailer, which also trumpets the Berlin premiere. Check it out below. Christopher Kirby, the actor who played Mauser in the last 2 Matrix flicks, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, has been cast as the 3rd lead in a Finnish sci-fi Nazi comedy titled Iron Sky.
“In 1945 the Nazis went to the moon. In 2018 They are coming back.”
That’s what the tag line reads, which says it all, I think.
Kirby will play a character named James Washington, the “first African-American astronaut on the Moon,” where he meets the Moon Nazis, played by his German co-stars, the other 2 leads, Gotz Otto and Julia Dietze.
Directed by Timo Vuorensola, Iron Sky, which was actually partly financed by online fans, has begun production with a 2011 release date expected.
Ya know, we don’t seem to see as many flicks that ridicule the Kkk, as much as there are films that mock and deride the Nazis.
Anywho… below, first watch the teaser trailer for the film,...

It's been some time since we've checked up on the production of the Space Nazi film 'Iron Sky'. They've recently added another member to their cast.
Christopher plays James Washington, the first African-American astronaut on the moon. The year 2018 will see the first moon landing since 1972. This expedition won't be as lucky as the Apollo astronauts.
You will find a short video with Chris and the director Timo after the break.

Keri Hilson has revealed that she found it easy to write a song for Britney Spears. The singer, who co-wrote her 2007 hit 'Gimme More' with Nate Hills, James Washington and Marcella Araica, claimed that Spears did not want anything biographical. "She wasn't tough to write for at all," Hilson told Ok. "We knew before we went in that she did not want it to be biographical.
