On the JoBlo Movies YouTube channel, we will be posting one full movie every day of the week, giving viewers the chance to watch them entirely free of charge. The Free Movie of the Day we have for you today is the slasher Scare Zone – a movie we had previously posted as a Friday Fright Nights feature a while back. Then we ran into some YouTube issues and had to take Scare Zone down for a while… but now it’s back! You can watch it over on the YouTube channel linked above, or you can just watch it in the embed at the top of this article.
Here’s what was written about Scare Zone for Friday Fright Nights:
Every Halloween season, thousands of haunted house attractions of various kinds open up across the United States… and yet we still have very few great horror movies that are set at haunted house attractions.

The swan song for “The Walking Dead” continues with episode 19, properly titled “Variant.” Picking up in the aftermath of Sebastian’s accidental murder at the hands of Eugene, the Commonwealth is desperate to make an example out of him and Maxine. Meanwhile, Aaron, Lydia, Jerry, and Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) explore a new territory and uncover a terrifying revelation.
The biggest draw of this episode is the highly-anticipated re-introduction of the “Variant” walker, first seen in season 1 of the series and most recently hinted at in the after-credits scene of “The Walking Dead: World Beyond.” That’s right, this episode reveals a walker that can open doors, climb fences, and lift itself up onto ledges. Just when it seemed like walkers were the least of the survivors’ worries, this new evolution of the infected foe has re-established them as a key threat within the series.

In the final moments of “How it’s Gotta Be,” the explosive mid-season finale of “The Walking Dead” Season 8, fans were delivered crushing news. Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) had been bitten by a walker in a previous episode. His father Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) drop their mouths in horror as they gaze at the bite wound, and it’s safe to say most viewers at home did the same. Carl has been a vital character since the first season of the hit series. So how will the show kill off a main character? Explore the likely options and then vote in our poll below before watching the mid-season premiere “Honor” on Sunday, February 25.

“I’m not right but that does not make me wrong.”
The Walking Dead continues on its one show mission to reward its loyal viewers by nose-diving straight into the action yet again this week. It begs the question: how long will this battle-focused run continue? Regardless, for now let’s enjoy it whilst it last.
We begin with an inspired speech by the ever-more-lovable King Ezekiel (Khary Payton). His rallying cry claiming that none of his men shall die is quite a bold statement in this universe…
We then follow Ezekiel, his men and Carol (Melissa McBride) as they continue on with their mission from the last episode. With their stealth mission compromised they must use some smart tactics to takeover The Savior’s compounds they come across. These tactics are demonstrated nicely when Ezekiel and a group of his soldiers are seemingly captured by a sneaky band of...

The Walking Dead's pacing in season 8 is much improved and really driving the story forward. Spoilers ahead in our Monsters review...

The Walking Dead spends a lot of time arguing about the place of humanity in the post-apocalyptic world. Not the place of human beings as a species, but the place of human beings as a concept. The old rules versus the new rules, ruthless efficiency versus charity, second chances versus preventing revenge, that kind of thing. Usually these take the form we saw last week, which was basically Tara and Jesus arguing until the charity case in question tried to hold Jesus hostage to make his escape. However, this week, Greg Nicotero and company have decided that this disagreement on what to do...

Last week The Walking Dead dropped us almost immediately into the action, and we were very thankful for it. This week, surprisingly, things have been dialled up a notch as the action, and Rick’s plan, continue to unfold. The majority of the episode works like a quadriptych with four separate assaults intercutting throughout the majority of the runtime. And it should be stated from the off that the show does this very well.
Firstly, we have an assault on one of The Savior’s munitions bases led by Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Eric (Jordan Woods-Robinson). Beginning with a group of the allied communities arriving in their Diy-style armoured cars and opening fire on some unsuspecting Saviors, who are loading a shipment of weapons, through strategic holes in the makeshift shields. From there an all-out fire fight erupts. Many Saviors die and quite a few of the allied forces too,...

This weekend brought us one of the most action-packed hours of The Walking Dead in a while, as episode 2 of season 8, titled “The Damned,” featured what has to be the show’s biggest gun battle ever. As the Alexandrians and the Saviors went to war, several lower-tier characters were seemingly killed off, including Jordan Woods-Robinson’s Eric.
So, how does a director on The Walking Dead approach handling the death of a regular? For Rosemary Rodriguez, it’s a serous topic, as she knows that leaving a series they’ve worked on for a while can really get to an actor. On Twd, however, the cast know to expect that their time could be up at any moment.
“The good thing about The Walking Dead is actors coming to it, kind of knowing that could happen any moment in any episode. There are other shows where it’s not really a part of the landscape.

The Walking Dead cancelled nearly all of their promotional events at San Diego Comic-Con this year following the recent death of stuntman John Bernecker. During the show's panel discussion in Hall H on Friday, The Walking Dead's cast and creators opened up about the tragedy.
“John was a stunt performer. You’ve probably seen his work before, you just didn’t know it. He’s been in everything from Looper, to This Is the End, to Hunger Games, 22 Jump Street to Get Out to Logan. He did some work on Black Panther and he’s going to be on our show,” executive producer Scott Gimple opened the Walking Dead panel.
“John passed away this week after he was injured doing something he loved, helping tell stories that excite, entertain and give people escape,” Gimple continued, as he read a statement onstage. “He helped make movies and shows for people like everybody in this room. John was someone...

Alexandria could indeed be the safe haven that it appears to be; however, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) continues to refuse to entertain that idea.
"Forget" was played out by the Bee Gees' "Spicks and Specks," and the song summed up Rick's attitude about Alexandria: "Where is the sun / That shone on my head? / The sun in my life / It is dead ... Where is the girl I loved / All along? / The girl that I loved / She's gone."
At this point, nothing really matters for Rick other than maintaining the status quo – that is, simply surviving – because the sun doesn't really flicker...

The old adage "If it seems too good to be true, it is" goes double in the world of "The Walking Dead," where initially innocuous people or communities wind up being populated by eye patch-clad maniacs and bloodlusty cannibals. And even when our weary survivors begin a new interaction with caution, things can still go south. That's why I'm not so convinced that Aaron (and later, his boyfriend Eric) is as innocent as he (maybe) seemed by the end of this week's installment, "The Distance." If anything, our group's track record with these types of situations proves that the zombie guts are going to hit the fan at any minute now.
The two communities referenced above, Woodbury and Terminus, are the primary concern for Rick in his initial struggle over whether the group should trust Aaron (Ross Marquand), and the captive doesn't exactly give the sheriff's deputy much reason to change his wary mind.

Given how many times our heroes on The Walking Dead have been offered salvation only to encounter monsters worse than the ones from which they needed salvation in the first place, it's no surprise that they were suspicious of Aaron (Ross Marquand) and his offer of a new home for Team Rick.
Rick (Andrew Lincoln) was most distrustful, even as Michonne (Danai Gurira) urged him to reconsider, stop fighting and let it go.
In the end, Rick and the survivors made it to Alexandria – but not before Rick's overly cautious nature backfired and landed them in yet another life-threatening situation.

Despite a late night, I rolled up to the Empire at early o clock in order to make sure I got a seat for the midnight movie Willow Creek, which had sold out the day before. Fortunately, the organisers had the wherewithal to move the film into a bigger auditorium for Sunday. Being there good and early meant I was well in time to catch Missionary (Anthony Diblasi). Frightfest doesn’t exclusively screen horror films and Missionary is a well-judged and atmospheric thriller that begins life as a sort of family drama before events begin to turn more and more sinister.
