- Amy Brown was born in Cranfield, Bedfordshire to an Irish mother, who was a Primary School Teacher and an English father, who is a University Lecturer and Senior Research Fellow. She attended Dame Alice Harpur School in Bedford and also attended the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. In 2001 she was accepted on to the highly competitive acting course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (graduating in 2004). Her career has been varied, working in theatre, TV and film. Highlights have included the complete works season at the RSC, working with Oscar winning Director Jane Campion and then more recently, at the National Theatre understudying the main parts in Josie Rourke's production of 'Dancing at Lughnasa'.
