“A Friend of the Family” isn’t a light lift. In fact, even the person handling 14 hours a day of Adr had to step outside for walks in between editing. The story behind the Peacock series is a true one: Bob “B” Birchtold was a family man who abducted Jan Broberg when she was 12 and again when she was 14 and sexually assaulted her numerous times. He also had sexual encounters with both of her parents.
His crimes were overlooked because of the times but also because he was a trusted man in the community — and trusted by the Broberg family.
Many actors would shy away from tackling such a daunting task as playing Birchtold. Instead, Jake Lacy dove in headfirst, especially after learning that the real Jan Broberg was a producer on the show and that no sexual assault would be shown. In order to get into that disturbing headspace...

Are Don Cheadle, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and the rest of the “Ocean’s” cast readying a reunion? It’s not entirely out of the question based on Cheadle’s latest interview with Entertainment Weekly. The actor reunited with “Ocean’s” director Steven Soderbergh for the upcoming crime movie “No Sudden Move.” The way Cheadle tells it, Soderbergh mentioned during the making of “No Sudden Move” that he’s drawing closer to cracking an idea for the next “Ocean’s” movie.
“We were talking about it [after ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’], and then Bernie [Mac] passed, and very quickly we were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do it,'” Cheadle said. “But I just did a movie with Stephen and he said, ‘I think there may be a way to do it again. I’m thinking about it.’ And it didn’t go much further than that. But I...

This year Al Pacino may pick up his third career Emmy Award as Best Movie/Mini Actor for the HBO telefilm “Paterno.” He plays the title role of disgraced Penn State football coach Joe Paterno, whose successful 45-year career ended after his assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was revealed to have been a child molester. Pacino previously won the same prize for “Angels in America” in 2004 and “You Don’t Know Jack” in 2010, and he was nominated once more for “Phil Spector” in 2013. If you are a fan of Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's trilogy, you might be happy to hear that Ocean's 8 is going to have more cameos from those original films than we thought. We already knew that Matt Damon was going to show up in the film, but in a recent interview with The Toronto Sun, the actor reveals that there are a few others who will pop up. He says:
"It's just a very small cameo. I'm not really in the movie a lot. ... I think there are a few of us who pop up really quickly."
I just assumed that George Clooney would be back as Danny Ocean considering the movie revolves around his sister. He's also producing the film. However, it would be fun to see Brad Pitt as Rusty, Carl Reiner as Saul Bloom, Don Cheadle as Basher, and the rest of the crew.

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer and poster for the upcoming ‘Ocean’s 8’ spinoff film, and it sure looks like a fun ride. Directed by Gary Ross, the film stars Sandra Bullock as Danny Ocean’s (long lost?) sister. In case you were unaware, ‘Ocean’s 8‘ follows Debbie Ocean. As she too is finally released from prison, Debbie sets out to plan an elaborate heist, along with a little help.
Surprisingly, the idea to create a spinoff film came from a brainstorm session that included Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney, and the late, great producer Jerry Weintraub back in 2015. ‘Oceans 8‘ has been in development since October 2015, when Ross (who is good friends with Soderbergh) and Bullock joined the project. It seems that the idea behind the spinoff film is to re-start the franchise with a new, fresh cast.
