- Jason Young is a graduate of King's College London in Theology and trained as a producer at the National Film and Television School. He receives ongoing training development at the London Film School where he worked as a production assistant (manager) on a 35mm short film titled 'Blues is my Middle Name'. He trained in 35mm filmmaking at Raindance, 16mm filmmaking and Steenbeck editing at South Thames College, and documentary filmmaking at Westminster Adult Education Service. His documentaries include 'Equiano in Africa'.

- Played the role of Maurice in 'Our Day Out' by Willy Russell at the Cockpit Theatre in September 1986. This led to Jason Young writing stage plays in the Pentecostal church starting with 'In the Beginning' at St. Saviour's Church, Finsbury Park in October 1986.
