Paramount Pictures has greenlit a third “Paw Patrol” film set to debut in 2026. The announcement comes just ahead of “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie,” the second film in the franchise, which premieres in theaters on Sept. 29.
The “Paw Patrol” films are based on the popular animated children’s series produced by Spin Master Entertainment, which premiered in 2013 and is now on its 10th season. Director Benjamin Millepied’s “Carmen,” a musical starring Paul Mescal, will have its West Coast premiere March 25 at the 2023 Sonoma International Film Festival (Siff).
Another debut set to take place during the five-day festival is the world premiere of “Jules,” with director Marc Turtletaub and stars Ben Kingsley and Jane Curtin planning to make an appearance for the occasion. The screening will kick off the opening night of the festival on March 22.

The upcoming sequel to “Paw Patrol” is getting a slew of new cast members. The show hails from “Paw Patrol” creator Keith Chapman and Spin Master Entertainment, which also produces “Paw Patrol.” The new show takes place in a world where kids run the stations and work together with the Mighty Express on adventures. Netflix has ordered 52 11-minute episodes. The show is slated to debut on Netflix in September.

Houston, we have another TV series being turned into a movie. Yes, yes, we do. Harald Zwart has been in the news a bit recently with the surprising success of his most recent film The Karate Kid (2010). Well get ready for another blockbuster. The Wrap reports that the Norwegian filmmaker, who also directed Agent Cody Banks and One Night At McCool’s, has recently signed on to direct a movie version of a popular anime series Bakugan Battle Brawlers. It will simply be entitled Bakugan and will come from the womb of Universal Pictures.
The film will be based on the popular TV series and card game which includes marble-like balls that turn into battle-ready creatures when rolled onto certain game cards. Similar to the turned based idea of Pokemon. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is quite the popular toy and was conveniently given the title of the 2009 Toy of the Year by the Toy Industry Association.
