“John Lewis once said, ‘You are a light. You are the light! Never let anyone — any person or any force — dampen, dim or diminish your light…Release the need to hate, to harbor division, and the enticement of revenge. Release all bitterness. Hold only love, only peace in your heart, knowing that the battle of good to overcome evil is already won.’ His words not only resonate with me as human, but inspire me to tell his amazing story,” Taylor said in a statement.

Areu Bros, a multi-faceted film, TV and tech entity formed in 2018 after the purchase of the former Tyler Perry Studios campus in Atlanta, has launched a Qualified Opportunity Zones initiative.
Opportunity Zones, a federal effort begun by President Obama and continued under President Trump, are billed as creating a new marketplace worth as much as $6 trillion via the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. That legislation offers long-term equity investors sizable tax incentives for reinvesting capital gains in businesses and real estate located in low-income communities. The film, written and directed Lieberstein in his directorial debut, premiered in April at the Tribeca Film Festival. He stars in the film alongside Rosemarie DeWitt, Brian D’Arcy James, Robert Pine, Clark Duke, and Paul Feig.

But he hasn’t yet tried having an affair with a client (portrayed by DeWitt) at the start of her complicated divorce and he hasn’t yet begun to wonder if his problems are more psychological than physical.

Now that the future is less than certain for Paramount’s ambitious, rebooted Terminator franchise – in this timeline, at least – and Sylvester Stallone’s Expendables have been put on ice, Arnold Schwarzenegger is beginning to snap up roles that aren’t simply designed for fan service.
Case in point: Why We’re Killing Gunther, a new action-comedy hailing from Saturday Night Live star Taran Killam. Poised to make his directorial debut, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Killam has set sights on Schwarzenegger to headline the light-hearted affair, joining Bobby Moynihan, Paul Brittain, Silicon Valley‘s Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park and Ryan Gaul.
Directing from his own script, the core premise of Why We’re Killing Gunther centers on a squad of international assassins who come together in order to hitch a plan to bump off Gunther, the world’s greatest hitman who, despite his skills, is inherently unlikeable due to his infuriating arrogance.

Equal measures irritably supercilious and demonically brilliant, our introduction to this filmmaker came via his co-writing gig: 2004’s I Heart Huckabees. Fast forward a decade later, and Jeff Baena broke into Sundance’s U.S. Dramatic section with zom rom com (short of zombie romantic comedy). Starring girlfriend Aubrey Plaza, Life After Beth wasn’t as secretive as his follow up film. Not appearing on any radars, production wrapped up on Joshy in April, so this comedy is definitely ready to go out. List of players includes: Thomas Middleditch, Adam Pally, Alex Ross Perry, Nick Kroll, Brett Gelman, Jenny Slate, Lauren Graham, Aubrey Plaza, Joe Swanberg, Kris Swanberg, Alison Brie, Paul Weitz, Brian Patrick Farrell, Jake Johnson and Frankie Shaw.

Roadside Attractions has released three new images and trailer for their upcoming film, Life Of Crime.
When a pair of low-level criminals kidnap the wife of a corrupt real-estate developer, they get both more and less than they bargained for in Life Of Crime, a dark caper comedy based on legendary author Elmore Leonard’s novel The Switch.
In their 2013 Toronto International Film Festival review, Sound on Sight said, “Life Of Crime is a reasonable addition to the world of Leonard adaptations.”
Starring Jennifer Aniston, John Hawkes, yasiin bey, Mark Boone Junior, Isla Fisher, Will Forte, and Tim Robbins, Life Of Crime is packed with the outrageously eccentric characters, black comedy and unexpected twists that earned Leonard a reputation as one of America’s sharpest and funniest crime writers.

That's right — "Lee Daniels' The Butler" has 39 credited producers to its name, and it isn't just Lee Daniels 39 times. We're not sure if this is a record, but we are sure that it's a lot of f**king producers.
So what, exactly, did each producer do for the movie? In a NextMovie exclusive, we've obtained a verified* list of the various roles each producer filled during the production of the film. Needless to say, each was wholly necessary to the quality of the end result.
*Note: By "verified" we mean "not verified."
Horatio Bacon: Responsible for convincing director Lee Daniels to not film the movie in 3D.
Julia Barry: Responsible with supplying the production office with the proper Nerf guns for anticipated downtime.
Len Blavatnik: Responsible for assaulting any "nerd" who insists on putting another "s" after the apostrophe in the film's title.
Charles Sauveur Bonan:...

The Weinstein Company has picked up distribution rights to his star-studded period drama The Butler, directed by Precious helmer Lee Daniels.
Based on the screenplay by Danny Strong (who just won an Emmy last night for Game Change) and Daniels, The Butler is inspired by Wil Haygood’s Washington Post article about an African-American man who served as a butler (Forest Whitaker) to eight Presidents such as Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon in the White House for over thirty years.
Obviously, Harvey Weinstein has liked what he’s seen of the footage. The film, which has been shooting down in New Orleans for weeks, also stars Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Terrence Howard, Minka Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, Melissa Leo, James Marsden, David Oyelowo, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Rickman, Liev Schreiber and Robin Williams.
