Exclusive: Clint Eastwood’s Juror No. 2 at Warner Bros. has rounded its cast with Amy Aquino, Adrienne C. Moore, Cedric Yarbrough, Chikako Fukuyama and Onix Serrano.
The movie follows Justin Kemp, played by Nicholas Hoult, who while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma — one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict–or free–the wrong killer. Eastwood is producing under his Malpaso banner in addition to directing off of Jonathan Abrams’ screenplay. The pic is currently shooting in Georgia.
Also part of the ensemble are Toni Collette (prosecutor), Gabriel Basso (accused), Zoey Deutch (Kemp’s wife), Leslie Bibb (juror), Chris Messina (public defender), and Kiefer Sutherland (Kemp’s AA sponsor).
Also producing for Malpaso are Tim Moore and Jessica Meier, and Dichotomy’s Adam Goodman & Matt Skiena. EPs are Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and David M. Bernstein.

I must open with the disclaimer that I hadn’t seen the first two seasons of this Canadian cop/buddy comedy, “Pretty Hard Cases: Season 3” though I did watch several episodes to have some sense of ongoing character and plot backgrounds in these 10 hour-long episodes. I got much of it but would have understood everyone and everything better had I seen more from before. I recommend starting from the beginning for that reason. This show is right in the wheelhouse of those who enjoyed series like “Frankie Drake” or “Miss Fischer’s Murder Mysteries.” This one emphasizes the comic side even more than those others.
Meredith MacNeill and Adrienne C. Moore star as Toronto police detectives who follow genre tradition by hating each other at first, before bonding over time as partners and then becoming besties.

You didn’t really think Toronto detectives (and BFFs) Samantha Wazowski (Meredith MacNeill) and Kelly Duff (Adrienne C. Moore) would stay apart for long, did you? When the comedic procedural Pretty Hard Cases returns with its final 10 episodes of Season 3, eight months have passed since their partnership was dissolved, and they’re missing each other big-time. “Sam and Kelly had come to rely heavily on each other both at work and as best friends,” says executive producer Sherry White, noting that much has changed since they split up. (Credit: Freevee) A disgruntled Sam has been demoted to beat cop, “which has been a big blow to her self-esteem,” says executive producer Tassie Cameron. She’s also living with and dating her ex-husband Steve (Trevor Hayes). “They’re trying to figure out how to navigate their relationship as former spouses and current partners,” Cameron adds. Meanwhile, Kelly has been busy working an undercover case,...

Gruff Toronto drug squad detective Kelly Duff (Moore) and her colleague in the gang unit, rule-following optimist Samantha Wazowski (Meredith MacNeill), “are the yin to the other’s yang,” says exec producer Sherry White. (Credit: Ian Watson/IMDb TV) In this lighthearted crime series streaming on Prime’s free IMDb TV channel, they blend differing work styles to bring down a common target: a violent drug-dealing street gang. “The stakes are high,” says executive producer Tassie Cameron, “but there’s always room for fun.” Initially antagonistic, the women rub off on each other. “Sam will help Kelly learn to be more vulnerable, and Kelly will help Sam become tougher,” says Cameron, adding that the women “are better together…most of ...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the first season of “Pretty Hard Cases,” streaming now on IMDb TV.
For seven seasons, Adrienne C. Moore played an inmate nicknamed Black Cindy on Netflix’s dark comedy “Orange Is the New Black,” set in a women’s prison Litchfield Penitentiary. With her new Canadian television series, “Pretty Hard Cases,” Moore is now on the other side of the law as Kelly Duff, a no-nonsense drug squad detective. But, she has found some important similarities between the two shows that helped make her professional transition an easy one.
“What I learned from my time at ‘Orange’ was that yes, even though prison creates its own microcosm of a world, it’s still dealing with the same dynamics that we deal with on the larger scale of the bigger world — the politics, the theme of education, with love, with rivalries.

IMDb TV has acquired Canadian drama series Pretty Hard Cases, setting a U.S. premiere date of September 10 for its first season.
The action-packed series from Sherry White and Tassie Cameron examines the odd couple dynamic between two radically different female detectives in their early 40s. The first is optimistic, over-achieving guns and gangs detective, Samantha Wazowski (Meredith MacNeill). The second is Kelly Duff (Adrienne C. Moore), a tough, unapologetic type from the drug squad.
It’s not until Samantha and Kelly’s chance meeting during a takedown that they realize they’re going after the same target. While they couldn’t disagree more on strategy, and pretty much everything else, they are forced to put their differences aside in their quest to dismantle the Stockwoods, a Toronto street gang dealing drugs and wreaking havoc on the community.
As the season unfolds, we see that both women are grappling with loneliness,...

Since we’re in a long wait between live-action Wonder Woman movies, it makes sense for Warner Animation to fill the gap. I just wish they filled it with something stronger than the just-released Wonder Woman: Bloodlines. The story is mostly about Diana and Vanessa Kapatelis with a hideous cabal of rogues attempting to plunder the technology of Themyscira.
It looks like it should fit in the animated continuity but it doesn’t really. We’re treated to a lengthy pre-credit sequence that recaps her origin and rushes things so quickly, that you blink and we’ve gone from Diana (Rosario Dawson) rescuing Steve Trevor (Jeffrey Donovan) to her leaving paradise for Man’s World and suddenly is allied with Etta Candy (Adrienne C. Warning: Spoilers ahead for the finale of Orange Is the New Black!
The finale of Orange Is the New Black season six was one of the most memorable episodes ever, and that's in part to learning the fate of Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson (Danielle Brooks). She was found guilty of Correction Officer Desi Piscatella's death and sentenced to life in prison. So if there's one question we had while watching season seven, it's if Taystee would get the justice she deserved.
At the beginning of the season, Taystee has a hard time coming to terms with her reality. She tries to buy the drugs that killed Daddy (Vicci Martinez) so she'd die, too, but Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) won't give them to her. Taystee gets desperate and makes a noose out of her bed sheet. She starts choking, but doesn't go through with it. However, Daya lets Taystee work for her...

The riots may be over, but the ongoing aftershocks continue to rock the ladies of Litchfield, following season six's heartbreaking finale. A guilty conviction, a crumbled friendship, and a cold plate of hard injustice serve up the opening of Orange Is the New Black's seventh and final season. Two of its most prominent original characters, and arguably a fan-favorite duo, remain at odds. The beloved friendship between Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson (Danielle Brooks) and Cindy Hayes (Adrienne C. Moore) is seemingly no more. But is it really done for good?
Taking us back to season five, one of the prison's most infamous guards, Desi Piscatella (Brad William Henke), is accidentally shot by his own men. In an effort to clean up the mess, the heat turns to the inmates during an FBI investigation, ultimately leaving Taystee sitting in the hot seat. Two of her closest friends, Cindy and Suzanne Warren...

‘Orange Is the New Black’ Review: Social Commentary Meshes With Melodrama As the Final Season Begins
[Editor’s note: The review contains spoilers for “Orange Is The New Black” Season 7, Episode 1: Beginning of the End.]
The final season of “Orange Is the New Black” arrives on Netflix today and spoiler alert: Things get emotional.
Episode 1 kicks off with Piper (Taylor Schilling) trying her best to adjust to her newfound freedom — but as we’ve seen with other characters over the years, life outside Litchfield Correctional Facility isn’t exactly easy. Besides living with her brother, his wife and their infant daughter in a cramped apartment, tension with her father, money troubles, and being on probation add to Piper’s roadblocks. The latter provides a keyhole-sized look into the struggle that real ex-cons face with acclimating back into society while caught in the financial spin cycle of struggling to survive. Granted, Piper got herself into this mess so there’s no feeling sorry for her — at least she’s physically free.

Ending a series after seven seasons isn't easy, but Orange Is the New Black has it particularly difficult.
There are a lot of factors at play as creator/producer Jenji Kohan tries to touch on just the right amounts of comedy and drama, the present and past storylines the series has juggled since inception, and the enormity of the cast now spread out in many different locations.
Whether you're ultimately satisfied with the result will depend a lot on how you've viewed the series over the years.
Before watching the final season, you have to come to grips with the fact that Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) was the genesis for our engagement with all of the other characters.
Being a white woman of privilege has been a knock against her character from the beginning, and it was her drop off the pedestal that landed her in Litchfield.

It’s easy to forget now how singular “Orange Is The New Black” is in the grand scheme of TV history. With its prison setting and focus on women who rarely get the spotlight, the Netflix drama changed the game by testing the limits of what streaming television could — and should — do back in 2013, when Netflix was still best known for DVD deliveries. In the six(!) years since it first debuted, it’s become such a fixture that saying goodbye to the women of Litchfield Penitentiary for good feels downright surreal.
The weight of having to wrap everything up wears on the seventh and final season of “Orange Is The New Black,” especially given just how many characters there are to send off and how wild the plot turns have gotten since the beginning (remember the season-long prison riot?). For as impossible a task as tying every loose end is,...

It's all coming to an end for Piper, Taystee, Alex, Gloria, Nicky, Suzanne and the rest of the Orange Is the New Black crew. Netflix revealed the final season trailer and just a warning, it may pull on your heart strings. "Life likes to test you. And when you make a bad choice, living with what you've done can be its own punishment," Taystee (Danielle Brooks) says in the trailer below. When viewers were last in Litchfield, Piper (Taylor Schilling) was released after her wedding to Alex (Laura Prepon), Taystee was sentenced to life in prison after Bff Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore) lied on the stand and the prison was nearly torn apart by feuding sisters. Now in season seven, Piper has to get back...

“Orange Is the New Black” returns for its seventh and final season next month, and the new trailer promises at least one major character will make a reappearance. Yes, that’s right, the chicken is back.
Longtime fans of the show will remember a particularly affecting Season 1 episode in which Piper (Taylor Schilling), in the process of adjusting to her new life in prison, grew obsessed with a chicken that had somehow made its way into the prison’s perimeter. She later discovered the bird to be a Lichfield urban legend, subject of rumor and skepticism.
And now, the chicken is back. In the full-length trailer for the Netflix drama’s final season, debuting July 26, Suzanne (Uzo Aduba) is the one comes face-to-face with the elusive fowl.

In its sixth season, Netflix’s prison dramedy “Orange Is the New Black” continues to draw a sizable audience, remaining one of the streamer’s most-watched original series, according to Nielsen.
“Oitnb” is particularly strong among viewers 18-49, and — unsurprisingly, given the predominantly female cast — 66% of the audience is women, Nielsen research shows.

‘Orange Is the New Black’ Star Danielle Brooks on Why She Was ‘Really Gutted’ by Season 6 (Spoilers)
Spoiler alert: Do not read until you’ve watched the entire sixth season of “Orange Is the New Black,” which premiered July 27.
With each passing season, the stakes have only gotten higher for the ladies of Litchfield — and perhaps none more so than Taystee Washington, embodied by Danielle Brooks. Her crusade for justice for her murdered friend Poussey had tragic ramifications, which played out cruelly in the sixth season — as she stood convicted of the murder of prison guard Piscatella.
We may not have heard the actual words said (given that the scene played out silently), but that guilty verdict for Taystee was a devastating one — sure to have repercussions through the show’s 7th, and likely final, season.
Here, Brooks talks to Variety about Black Cindy’s betrayal, her “beautiful” relationship with Caputo, and the moment that “gutted” her.
Taystee’s relationship with Caputo became so pivotal this season.

“This place is way too serious,” Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore) complains early in the new season of Orange Is the New Black. “This place” is the maximum security facility at Litchfield, where Cindy and a number of other inmates have been transferred in the wake of the minimum security camp riot that took up the entirety of Season Five.
Or, as stoner guard Luschek (Matt Peters) so eloquently puts it a while after he, too, winds up in max, “I fuckin’ miss camp! It sucks stubble-covered itchy balls here!”
