It’s been over a year since four students at the University of Idaho were violently killed in their home, but the passing of time has not fatigued the public’s interest in the case. Quite the opposite. In the last 12 months, there have been several television documentaries devoted to the case dubbed the “Moscow Murders.” In May, James Patterson and investigative journalist Vicky Ward announced that they are working on a nonfiction book about the tragic deaths of students Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Kaylee Goncalves, which will eventually become a docuseries.
On Feb. 6, Paramount + is releasing “#Cybersleuths: The Idaho Murders,” a three-part docuseries about internet sleuths on TikTok who try and find the Idaho college killer. The absence of any solid leads in the case created an information vacuum that the TikTokers were eager to fill. The docuseries follows several so-called sleuths who attempt to...

Hundreds of pages of sealed records related to Jeffrey Epstein have been made public over the past week, revealing previously unknown details about the late accused sex trafficker who called some of the world’s most wealthy and influential people his friends, from Bill Clinton to Prince Andrew.
The release comes after a judge’s December ruling that the documents, which until Wednesday had been redacted, should no longer be concealed from the public. Previously, the documents had been part of Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 civil case against Ghislaine Maxwell.

Since Jeffrey Epstein died under mysterious circumstances in his prison cell in August 2019 while awaiting sex-trafficking charges, and his right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell received 20 years behind bars for her part in the sex-trafficking operation (in a low-security prison, without having to name names), there’s still an overwhelming air of suspicion, confusion, and anger surrounding the notorious pedophile and the rich-and-powerful men who found themselves in his inner circle. Justice doesn’t seem like it’s been served when Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, and other Masters of the...

Prince Andrew’s secrets are set to be uncovered, again, this time on A&e.
The network is launching Secrets of Prince Andrew, from Fulwell 73’s Bitachon365 and Candle Media, on August 21.
The documentary special will explore the British Royals’ scandal-plagued life, including the disastrous BBC Newsnight interview in November 2019 that shook the monarchy to its core.
It is the latest U.S. documentary about Prince Andrew, after Peacock launched Banished last year. Netflix is also dramatizing the story for a movie with Gillian Anderson.
That car-crash interview, which forensically examined the Duke’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and his paramour Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of child sex trafficking and other offenses.
During the interview the Prince said that he regretted continuing to associate with Epstein after the financier pled guilty to soliciting underage sex in 2008. However, the fact that he offered no apology to Epstein’s victims caused uproar and global headlines.

The state’s last witnesses on Friday were Annie Farmer — the only victim to testify using her full name — followed by her high school boyfriend, and ending with her mother. A federal judge has dismissed a $435 million libel suit that Rep. Devin Nunes (R-ca) filed against CNN, rejecting his claim that he was defamed over a report on his contacts with a Ukrainian prosecutor.
U.S. District Judge Laura Taylor Swain wrote in her opinion that Nunes failed to demand a retraction from CNN, a key element in pursuing libel cases in California. She had ruled that as a California resident, Nunes was bound by state law that then limited him to seeking special damages, like the loss of property or business. But she said that he failed to show that in his complaint, nor did he plausibly claim that the network engaged in a conspiracy to defame him.
Nunes’ lawsuit, filed in early December 2020, stems from the network’s coverage of the first impeachment trial. He sued over a November 22, 2019 report that Lev Parnas, the former associate of Rudy Giuliani,...

In 2003, journalist Vicky Ward wrote a colorful and lengthy profile of millionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein for Vanity Fair. Back before Epstein became heavily embroiled in a sex-trafficking ring that sent him to jail more than once, Epstein was a mere financial mastermind with his hands deep in working with some of the world's most high-profile businessmen. The profile, which features much of the content also depicted in Netflix's Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich documentary, just barely touches on Epstein's history of women. That story will play out more on screen, but it bears noting that Ward said years later that she wanted to go into more detail about allegations against Epstein in her Vanity Fair piece, but was blocked by her editors. She said she had on-the-record allegations from three accusers who said they were involved in a sex scandal with Epstein. Vanity Fair's...

A federal judge has delivered a victory to CNN in its defense against a $435 million libel lawsuit filed by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-ca).
U.S. District Judge Robert E. Payne wrote that the Richmond, Va court “is not Nunes’ home forum, and therefore there is no logical connection between the events in this case and this district.” By contrast, the New York court is close to the defendants in the case, which include not just CNN but senior reporter Vicky Ward and anchor Chris Cuomo. The judge also said that he had “significant concerns about forum shopping,” or that Nunes and his legal team were seeking a venue that is known for its speedy disposition of cases, or a “rocket docket.”
