Richard Green was an artist from childhood. He starting drawing
cartoons and people from the age of three. He graduated from the
Ringling School of Art with a BA in book cover art. His outstanding
work in human, and animal anatomy landed him a job with Walt Disney
Animation Studios. He was in the animator development training program,
and studied with the last of the nine old men. He worked on various
characters on the production, Rescuers Down Under. In Beauty and the
Beast he concentrated on Lumiere the Candle. After leaving Disney he
has concentrated on educational films. Useing computer and hand drawn
animation. He is at the moment working a series of three books covering
his work in animation and art.
