Foo Fighters are heading to Washington, D.C. for a one-night-only show on March 5 to advocate for healthcare price transparency. Fat Joe and Chuck D will also be in attendance. The private event is hosted by Power to the Patients, a nonprofit dedicated to creating “a more affordable, accessible, and equitable healthcare system through price transparency.”
The band joins Fat Joe, who has helped lead the charge by meeting with members of Congress to urge them to pass legislation that will codify and expand healthcare transparency requirements. The event will bring together lawmakers,...

"What you call love was invented by guys like me to sell nylons." With these tender words, Don Draper talked himself into the heart of his new client Rachel Mencken, and into TV history. The first episode of Mad Men aired 10 years ago today, on July 19th, 2007, introducing the world to a rogue's gallery of glamorously twisted con artists. Jon Hamm as Don, the Korean War deserter who steals a dead officer's dogtags and invents himself a new life as a Madison Avenue advertising genius. John Slattery as Roger Sterling,...

Take that, Mr. Smarty-pants!
Ben finds out on Incorporated Season 1 Episode 8 that sometimes you can be too clever for your own good.
I know he's desperate to get Elena back and all (even though she told him to move on more than once), but doing a partial self lobotomy sounds like a bit of reach to me.
Ben: I'm just temporarily disconnecting some circuits.
Hendrick: Aaron isn't a circuit-it's who you are.
Ben: But he's not who I need to be right now.
Permalink: But he's not who I need to be right now. Added: January 18, 2017
Anyone who's watched TV before knows that this type of deal isn't gonna work, and for someone who's supposedly as smart as Ben should know better.
The lie becomes the truth, or at least that's the idea.

Well, at least last week's episode was good (sigh).
Unfortunately, the suck-age begins again on Incorporated Season 1 Episode 7.
We're back to the same ol' boring corporate intrigue, only now it's all about Roger the dick's body finally being found.
Today marks the anniversary of the ratification of the 29th amendment, granting corporations the sovereignty we needed and deserved. An act which freed us from the incompetence, regulations and tyranny of the federal government. We make our own laws, we supply the security. We do the things which government is no longer able to do. God bless America, and God bless Spiga.

The heavy handed climate change reason for the country voluntarily giving up their rights to corporations hits a bit close to home, don't you think?
I'm sure the show-runners wanted to draw...

With all the hubbub surrounding Saturday Night Live’s imminent cast addition, it could be easy to forget that there will be a new episode of the show tonight. But SNL does indeed have 90 minutes of new material (minus commercials and wailing from Kings of Leon) to present for our viewing pleasure this evening — and it’s going to be good.
Why do I predict that? Because of this:
And this:
And, of course, this:
In short: It’s crazy — criminal, even — that John Goodman hasn’t hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live since November of 2001.

It's been more than a decade since the 1990s ended, yet the Internet can't seem to go a day without a reminder of the neon slap bracelets that may have been banned from your school.
Yes, we get it. Times are tough and there's comfort in reflection, but enough is enough.
Below, a final goodbye to the 90s to end the nostalgia once and for all. (We're not kidding. There are 1990 items below.)

Do not be alarmed. You have not been transported through a wormhole back to 1999... but it might feel like it. April 2012 is looking an awful lot like the 1990s. Whether you're at the movies, watching TV, or picking out your clothes, there's a definite resurgence of '90s nostalgia. For those of us who still remember the '90s like it was yesterday, it's a little weird that it's also, well, today.
First of all, there's the fact that James Van Der Beek is back on television. "Don't Trust The B---- in Apartment 23" premieres this Wednesday, April 11. In the ABC comedy, Van Der Beek plays a fictional version of himself -- a version that wears "Dawson's Creek" flannel and blasts Paula Cole's "I Don't Want To Wait" in order to seduce women.
On a related note, all three leads from "Felicity" (Keri Russell, Scott Foley, and Scott Speedman...

Most rock-centric documentaries fall into one of two camps: the hagiographical tributes to artists that frame and justify a performer's failings within the larger picture of his battles for success, and the warts-and-all examinations that tend to use the excesses of said performers as evidence of the inherent vapidity in the field. A good example of the former is pretty much any episode you ever saw of VH1's "Behind the Music," which today airs sporadic episodes profiling chart-toppers like 50 Cent but between 1997 and 2006 would spend 44 minutes running every conceivable artist through the same template of success-excess-redemption. For the producers of the series, drug abuse and infighting were an end in themselves. On the other side of the spectrum, you've got fascinating documentaries like Dig!, a riveting look at the egotistical brawling between the members of The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Dandy Warhols. The film is utterly engrossing, but...

Stephen Dorff is about to enjoy a bit of a comeback now that he’s starring in Sofia Coppola’s upcoming film, Somewhere, which comes out next month. To be fair, he never actually went anywhere, he’s been making movies steadily since 1987, but he hasn’t really been in a blockbuster since, yikes, Blade? We guess? 1998. Wow, that’s a while. Anyway. Point is, he’s kind of all over the place these days (for instance, on the cover of VMan Magazine looking hot and sexy-leathery) but that got us thinking about how hot and slightly-less-leathery he used to be, which begat a photo search, which unearthed some super ’90s treasures. We discovered that Dorff has quite a cache of famous friends and former co-stars from back in the day. Dorff frequently walked the red carpet accompanied by his various friends and girlfriends (Neil Patrick Harris during Doogie days!
