On the eve of release, developer Telltale Games has lifted the lid on the official launch trailer for its five-part Guardians of the Galaxy series, promising a whole new adventure for Star-Lord and the gang.
Soon after answering a distress call from the Nova Corps, Peter Quill and his loyal band of anti-heroes go up against Thanos, the Mad Titan of the Marvel universe, in exchange for a clean slate. It’s slightly similar to James Gunn’s 2014 sleeper hit in that Star-Lord and the other Guardians begrudgingly accept a mission in an attempt to clear their names, but Telltale has made it clear that its imminent episodic series features an original story, and it’s one that’ll begin with the release of “Tangled Up in Blue” tomorrow, April 18th.

So a brand new trailer has been released for Telltale's newest addition to their story-heavy games. That new game is Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series. The trailer is great and gives you just enough to be interested but not so much that it gives everything away. It stars all our favorite guardians as they go up against Thanos, all of whom want the Galactic Macguffin.
The series will have Scott Porter as Star-Lord, Emily O'Brien as Gamora, fan favorite Nolan North as Rocket Racoon, Brandon Paul Eells as Drax, and Adam Harrington as Groot.
The action looks awesome, and the style and art of the Guardians and other characters is cool and slick. Star-Lord looks like a badass, and Gamora looks like the comic Gamora that I know and love. Plus, the song at the end is a solid powerhouse that pays tribute to the film's love of music.

The first trailer for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, has finally arrived! See the debut trailer below!
Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot are about to embark on a whole new adventure that will include new enemies, new treasure, and a battle with the big bad himself, Thanos! The trailer for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series reveals just enough of the personality of our beloved misfits to get us intrigued! See it for yourself!
The best line of the entire trailer had to be, "You can't possibly know that!" in response to Star-Lord's comment about being on the slowest elevator in the universe. It also shows just how hard Telltale is working on creating a game reminiscent of the 2014 McU film, which is no easy task.

It’s the Guardians vs. Thanos in the rip-roaring first teaser for Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series.
Slated to premiere in April with the launch of “Tangled Up in Blue,” Telltale’s latest creative venture pits Star-Lord and the gang against the Mad Titan, who has waged war on the Nova Corps. In their darkest hour, the people of the Nova Corps turn to the Guardians of the Galaxy as their last remaining hope, and though today’s first-look promo is light on story, the final shot sees the universe’s unlikeliest heroes preparing to lock horns with Thanos – a battle that won’t happen on the big screen until at least Avengers: Infinity War.
As previously reported, Guardians Of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series is considered a separate beast with its own unique story, and therefore won’t be beholden to the continuity of the McU.
