It’s that time of the year again. Which players can we name and shame? The same two teams from last season may have appeared in the Finals, but not everyone has been so consistent.

NBA fans have seen quite a bit of style showboating this season. As pro ball’s finest rock shirts and socks with lively prints, super-tailored Tom Ford suits, unique spectacles, and bright and/or studded footwear, there’s no question that this group of millionaires are becoming more comfortable flaunting their personalities off the court than ever before. And they wield trend-setting power, too; players like Dwyane Wade, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony have helped draw massive attention to the outfits they sport from the car to the locker room and during post-game interviews by getting creative with high-end designer pieces.

We’re getting the impression that Kris Humphries is kind of the Charlie Brown of the celebrity world. Even before things went epically south in his marriage with Kim Kardashian, there was something tragi-comic about the guy. Whether he’s seated next to his (ex) wife’s sex tape partner on a plane, belatedly learning that his fiance has in fact been married before, or getting sued over an alleged herpes outbreak, he always has a lot on his plate. There’s no other way to put it: the universe just seems to continuously s– on him.
So when we heard that he got into a battle royale on the Td Garden court last night in Boston, we weren’t all that surprised. It just seemed like something that would happen to the guy. Apparently he and Celtic player Rajon Rondo tangoed during the second quarter after Humphries fouled Celtic Kevin Garnett.

Kim Kardashian's future ex-husband didn't exactly have an awesome Wednesday. As his attorney battled it out in court with Kardashian's team, Kris Humphries got into a physical fight in Boston as his team, the Brooklyn Nets, played the Celtics. The 27-year-old got into a shoving match with the Celtics' Rajon Rondo after Humphries fouled; eventually two other players joined in the melee -- with Humphries, Rondo and one other player, the Nets' Gerald Wallace, getting kicked out of the game. Sniped Humphries via Twitter after the incident: "Anyone know [...]...

Maybe Rajon Rondo didn't know that Kris Humphries probably wasn't the guy to tangle with tonight. Hours after his and Kim Kardashian's divorce attorneys took a few shots in court, Humphries' day went from meh to bleh when he, fellow Brooklyn Net Gerald Wallace and Rondo were ejected from the Nets-Celtics game in Boston for fighting. Per Espn, Kim Kardashian's ex delivered a hard foul on Kevin Garnett, and Rondo immediately got in the Brooklyn forward's face, shoving him with two hands. The two continued to struggle as both benches emptied around them. Then, as Humphries started to fall backward, he managed to pull Rondo's jersey up over his face. And because they were grappling...

Here we go again. Today we take a look at the next five players on our list of the top 30 players in the NBA today. With superstars like LeBron James and Kevin Durant out of the way, we can really delve into the realm of opinion and I would be genuinely surprised if you completely agreed with me on all these choices as even I second-guessed myself while making these selections.
Without further ado, here you go:
11. Deron Williams - Brooklyn Nets
He was once considered one of the top point guards in the league, if not the best. Williams had possessed an all-round skillset that no other point guard in the league had at the time. Without a doubt, Williams was the closest thing to the great John Stockton.
Things began to go downhill though as his contract with the Jazz neared its ending. Williams was traded to the...

Earlier this week we featured an article that looked at the top five NBA players currently playing in the league. Though many of you may not agree with our choices, we feel that they were fair and mostly accurate. Today, we take a look at the players that make up spots 6-10.
Selecting the five best players was no easy task, but as the list goes on it will only become more difficult as more and more factors are taken into account. Rounding out the top five in the last segment was big man Dwight Howard, and it was no easy decision placing all-star Dwyane Wade after him.
So, on that note, let’s begin.
6. Dwyane Wade – Miami Heat
He was, at one time, probably a top three player in the league. Though he now sits at number six, Wade is still a player that few hate and most love.

How sweet would it be to see the future hall-of-fame Canadian suit up for the league’s only Canadian team? It might make the Raptors relevant on a grand stage for the first time since they lead the Atlantic in 2006, passing the Boston Celtics in the standings en route to a playoff appearance. This would be the Raptors second future hall-of-fame signing since Hakeem Olajuwon- yes, that guy – was traded to the Raptors in 2011, where he ended his career.
General Manager Bryan Colangelo has already stated that going after Steve Nash would be the Raptors top, maybe even only, priority this summer. And they’re going to push hard; there’s no question about that. Now that the rumour mill is flooding, multiple sources have already claimed the Raptors will offer Steve Nash (aka Kid Canada) $36 million for three years, with an option for a third year. It almost...

The livelihoods of many in the basketball world are reliant on one particular event in the NBA offseason. The draft is a time where team scouts, general managers, coaches and other team personnel tremendously boost their job security, or where they lose it altogether. That is why no one wants to make a decision on a boom or bust player. These players have the potential to be superstars in the league, but they also lack some sort of ingredient required to allow them to reach their potential, that is why they are such high risk picks.
NBA general managers, when drafting these players, are hoping for a development of that missing ingredient, but such a development is not a guarantee, which translates to a ‘bust’. Recent examples include 7’5 centre Hasheem Thabeet, often injured Greg Oden, Hawks swingman Marvin Williams and the list simply piles on. In this year’s NBA draft,...

Watching the end of this week’s leg of The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business I now know what it must feel like to have to choose between your two children: awful.
The reality that the cowboys were going to be towards the back of the pack, if not last, was evident very early after Jet messed up the Roadblock. However, we were able to dream that another team would get U-Turned as well and Jet and Cord could use their speed to make up ground, pass a team and avoid a last place finish.
As the Detour wore on, however, it became obvious that a worst case scenario was developing. The cowboys would be U-Turned, alright. But one by one each of the teams I wanted to see forced to do the other half of the challenge - Kent and Vyxsin, Kisha and Jen or Gary and Mallory – skated by...

Hip-hop and sports are practically kindred spirits, especially when it comes to basketball. At this year's NBA All-Star Weekend, a number of hoop stars, and the wife of one player in particular, wholeheartedly agreed with this observation.
"They always say all rappers want to be basketball players, [and] all basketball players want to be rappers," La La Vazquez, wife of New York Knick Carmelo Anthony and ex-mtv VJ, told MTV News.
Over the years, a number of NBA players have actually become rappers on the side. Besides four championships — three with the Los Angeles Lakers, one with the Miami Heat — Shaquille O'Neal also managed to release four albums. The first, 1993's Shaq Diesel,...

On Wednesday night (January 5) at the Td Garden in Boston, the Boston Celtics toppled the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 105-103. Rajon Rondo turned in a triple-double, Ray Allen dropped in 31 points and Paul Pierce hit the go-ahead shot with less than a second to go to seal the victory. It was a good night in the arena, but on this day in 1975, the results were less positive. While waiting outside to purchase tickets to a Led Zeppelin concert, approximately 2,000 fans managed to pry open the doors of the old Boston Garden and wreak havoc on the inside.
Some time shortly after midnight, the rowdy group of fans got inside the building and began to run amok, throwing bottles and destroying property inside the essentially empty venue. The fans got so out of control that management decided to open the ticket windows hours before they were supposed to...
