- In 2007 transcribed one of the last ever interviews with surrealist painter, writer Brion Gysin on behalf of RE Search Publications. The original interview was conducted via Paris in 1985 by V. Vale.
- Named the classical, indie-rock band Absorb Dissolve. All though he did not play on the album, their 2004 debut was titled The Return of Zachary Culbertson.
- Named a bar/music venue in Louisville, Kentucky called Time & Space. Time & Space opened on July 18th in 2014, coincidentally coinciding with the Birthday of the late Louisville writer and avid drinker, Hunter S. Thompson (July 18, 1937 - February 20, 2005). Culbertson frequently booked bands at Time & Space, including Ted Drozowski's Scissormen, Art Adams, Blind Scryer, Freedive, HR Lexy, Grlwood, Keenan Lawler, Gregory Maddux, HX, Reeves Gabrels and His Imaginary Fr13nds and Cellular Chaos. In August of 2018 Culbertson quit working at Time & Space, due to a disagreement with the manager, rescheduling a show with 38 Barbies, Gregory Maddux, Drift City (their first show) and Vyva Melinkolya to the then new Tiki bar, The Limbo. Culbertson traveled from San Francisco to Louisville, Kentucky to attend the event on August 31rst, leaving early the following morning. Fatefully Time & Space caught on fire the afternoon of September 1rst, never to reopen.
- Renamed the Louisville based band National Hotel (sometimes known as National Hotel Sound System) International Motel. Under the original name National Hotel, the song "Midnight Traveler" is featured prominently at the close of the Antero Ali film "To Dream of Falling Upwards", in which Culbertson plays a lawyer. International Motel is the musical vision of multi-instrumentalist Eric Henson. In 2020 the name changed once again, this time to Catacombs Deluxe.
- Was a member of The Golden Gate Spiritualist Church in San Francisco, CA.
- Wrote the lyrics for the Wade Hampton songs "Waffle House of Pain" and "Polk Street Boys" and titled the Hampton song "A Friend I Never Knew". Wade Hampton is the stage name of Wade Sudduth, who wrote three albums worth of music with Robert Moraghan before passing away in March of 2016 in Rome, Georgia.
- In 2007 was featured in the music video "Shooting Star" by the British band Air Traffic directed by Teri Timely.
- Worked at the iconic San Francisco music venue The Hemlock Tavern in 2018, the last year of its 17 year run.
- Was a doorman at Vesuvio Cafe in North Beach in San Francisco, CA. Vesuvio historically was a hang out for cultural figures like Jack Kerouac, Francis Ford Coppola, Bob Dylan, Dylan Thomas, Lenny Bruce and Charles Bukowski, among others.
- Zachary Culbertson is featured on the New American Hustle album Way Out Robot, released March 2nd 2021. He appears on a track named after him, that he co-wrote.

- In 2021 starred in a music video called "Moon" by Drift City. The video premiered July 23rd 2021 and was directed by Scott Carney (Wax Fang). It also features Lacey Guthrie (Twin Limb), Brian Schreck (Giant Dunes) and Jason Rivers ( Drift City).
- In 1996 composed a spontaneous piece of music with Seth Mellor Weller, Verity Jones & David Alike titled "Haiti", pending release in 2022.
- A band Culbertson is affiliated with; New American Hustle shifted gears and names, now known as Zia Starlust. Zia Starlust released two versions of "Zachary Culbertson" in March 2022, one dubbed "The Solar Mix".
- In April 2022 collaborated for a third time with Zia Starlust (formerly New American Hustle) on a piece called "Elrod". The track was mixed in Italy by KnockoutPut.
- In addition to naming the band Absorb Dissolve (sometimes spelled Absorbdissolve) named their second album, Resolved: Saturn On Drugs (released in 2022) & the publishing company/record label it was released on Contour Lines.
- Shot the music video for "Spellbound", a Siouxsee & The Banshees cover by Megan Blanchard. The video was released on July 4th 2023.
