Meredith Roberts is senior vice president/general manager, Television Animation, Disney Channels. She is responsible for leading a unified vision for the animation content produced by Disney Television Animation (TVA) and independent other studios for Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, as well as TVA-produced content for Disney+.
Roberts' responsibilities include oversight of all animated series and shorts, including strategic planning across development and production, as well as management of the current programming slate. In her role, she works closely with Disney TVA's development and production teams and Disney Channels' programming, franchise, marketing and digital media departments to implement best practices and long-term planning across Disney Channels' vast animation portfolio.
A well-regarded leader in film and television animation, Roberts most recently served as general manager, Disneytoon Studios, which successfully launched films including the popular "Planes" franchise and "Tinker Bell/Fairies" titles. From 2004-2007, she was senior vice president, Creative Affairs, Disney Television Animation, where she helped steer the Emmy® Award-winning hits "Phineas and Ferb" and "Kim Possible," "The Emperor's New School" and "Lilo & Stitch." From 2001-2004, she was head of development, Film and Television, Klasky-Csupo Entertainment.
A member of the Advisory Board for Women in Animation, Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science from SI Newhouse School of Communications, Syracuse University.
