Today’s hot short film Keloid comes via The Hollywood Reporter
In a not too distant future, societies of all countries come to rely on an intricate network of artificial intelligence devices designed to bring efficacy to man’s life. Yet, man continues to devour himself in useless wars. A strong political hierarchy now divides all powers into three factions, and A. I. devices rapidly gain ground as efficiency becomes a priority.
As social revolts grow worse everyday, authorities seek ways to control their citizens. They decide to carry out a series of tests that will determine not only whether some crucial powers can be transferred to non human entities, but also whether man is ready to yield those powers.
The world has become a cell for all man and women, who withstand and endure their lives, rather than living them. Machines might have found a solution.

With technology growing by leaps and bounds, it's only going to be a matter of time before some scientist somewhere concocts some mad plan to take human beings and make them... "better." Who knows? Maybe it's time we had an overhaul.
According to Variety, Tucker Parsons has been set to adapt the Warner Bros. sci-fi pic True Skin based on the short film helmed by Stephan Zlotescu set in the near future where augmentation is the way of life. Zlotescu is also expected to direct this version as well.
Jeff Clifford will produce with John Fischer overseeing for Heyday Films along with Raymond Brothers and Scott Glassgold of Iam Entertainment. Jon Berg will oversee for the studio. This one may or may not be within our wheelhouse, but we'll keep an eye on things and keep you posted if need be. In the interim check out the aforementioned short film below.

With holidays now becoming movies like "Valentine's Day" and "New Year's Eve," and with board games now being turned into expensive blockbusters, it looks like the next Hollywood gold rush is going to center around things people watch on TV when they are stuffed with food and/or jet-lagged from traveling to see relatives they don't really like anyway. Variety is reporting Jackass star Johnny Knoxville is close to a deal to star as Moe for Peter and Bobby Farrelly in their The Three Stooges feature at Fox. Benicio Del Toro was previously set to play Moe opposite Sean Penn and Jim Carrey. The shift in casting is being perceived as a move to attract a younger audience, you know, the group that didn't grow up with the Stooges, but are apparently clamoring for a feature film. The plan is to divide the PG-rated film into three, 27-minute segments driven by physical comedy. The Playlist says Andy Samberg and Will Sasso ("$#*! My Dad Says") are vying for the role of Curly while Shane Jacobsen, Justin Timberlake, Woody Harrelson and Larry David are all said to have been approached as prospective Larrys. Production is apparently eying an April start.

There’s nothing like sitting down with family on Thanksgiving Day, and it’s not just because of the feast, but to see the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Well, now we can all enjoy that experience on the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Producers Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers of Iam Entertainment has acquired the rights to create a feature film on the annual event. “We’re aiming to make a four-quadrant, family-friendly film somewhere in that Night At The Museum, Elf sweet spot,” Glassgold said. The Producers have been meeting with writers, and are wanting to feature the floats coming to life.
Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time Macy’s have been approached with an idea like this one. So, what made them change their mind? “We thought Scott and his partner made a compelling case,” Macy’s senior vp Robin Hall said.

An article in yesterday’s The Hollywood Reporter claim that film producers Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers of Iam Entertainment have developed a number of pitches for what a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade movie would look look like, in order to get a film off the ground and secure a lucrative partnership with the New York store. Smart move – the parade is watched by millions of viewers every year and is part of American pop-culture and we can imagine a movie opening around that time that would convince the whole family to make the trip out to see it.
The pitch that seems to have the most buzz, and indeed the only one revealed to us, is a family adventure movie where the advertising and often cutesy floats that fly amongst the skyscrapers would come to life. And in 3D, you can guarantee it. You can see the concept art above,...

Everybody loves a parade, right? The marching, the floats, the... cotton candy or something?
Okay, despite the fact that everybody loves a parade, chances are not that many of you have spent a whole heck of a lot of time actually attending parades. After all, why get jostled and shoved by a big crowd for hours without even a porta pottie around when you can watch the spectacle of, say, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade from the comfort of your own home on television?
And if you like watching the parade on TV, just imagine how much you'll love it in the theater.

We're all aware of the fact that Hollywood ran out of fresh ideas a long, long time ago and have come to terms with this unfortunate fact, correct?
It's being reported that Iam Entertainment's Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers have acquired the rights to and will be developing a movie based on the legendary Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade millions of people watch each holiday season.
The duo are currently chatting with multiple writers in hopes of figuring out the perfect way to approach the movie, with one idea being the obvious: the floats somehow come to life. Fitting to this idea, Glassgold explained that they're "aiming to make a four-quadrant, family-friendly film somewhere in that Night At The Museum, Elf sweet spot.”
Speaking of Elf, Macy's was offered the chance to be part of that movie but turned it down, so now they're out to find a future family favorite to represent.

Here’s a promising and inspiring concept for aspiring filmmakers with big dreams. Make a mashup trailer from some of your favorite films to pitch the film you want to make. It worked for Technotise, based on the Serbian anime film, which was pitched by Shutter Island scribe Laeta Kalogridis, producers Scott Glassgold and Raymond Brothers and picked up by Legendary Pictures. But how were they able to sell such a high concept plot? By hiring an internet youtube user Jaron Pitts to make a proof of concept trailer.
Pitts, who has become a viral sensation due to his imaginative re-editing or remixing of feature films into original fan film concepts (check out his Green Latern trailer), was brought on by the team of producers to create an original proof of concept using that very technique. Fan trailers can suck. This one does not. As admirable as they are, typically they consist of low production values and amateur editing that results in a trailer that's awesome for those who are already a fan of the project, but silly for those who are on the outside. Enter Jaron Pitts (the tech-savy gent behind the wishful trailer for Green Lantern that found Nathan Fillion believably taking on the role of Hal Jordan, founder of the Justice League of America), a fan who really knows how to cut together a bunch of pretty cinematic lies into a nice and neat little package.
My almost-doppelganger Peter Ha at Techland points us toward Pitts' latest fan-made trailer and its even better than his Green Lantern film. The task this time around is a live-action adaptation of a Serbian comic-cum-anime called Technotise; what he ended up delivering is one of the slickest fan trailers I've seen.
