We've all seen our fair share of horror web-based shows, but none of them have streamlined the viewing experience like Haunting Melissa. Hooked Digital Media, a next-generation production company, premiered the multi-part horror tale today exclusively on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and ShockTillYouDrop.com got a sneak peek earlier this week as to how the experience worked.
Going in, I had no idea what to expect. We've seen so many multi-media gimmicks hit the horror genre - especially with the advent of mobile devices - yet director Neal Edelstein (producer of films like The Ring) has found a way to channel his story through something that's incredibly smooth, creative and ambitious.
Written by Andrew Klavan (True Crime, Don’t Say A Word), Haunting Melissa stars Kassia Warshawski as Melissa Strogue, Travis Nelson as Brandon, Barb Mitchell as Katherine Strogue, Jasmine Berg as Holly, Greg Lawson as Jack Strogue, Larry Reese as Mike Cole,...

A bunch of haughty college kids head to the woods, encounter some loveable bumpkins who they think are serial killers, and then begin committing suicide. Well, something like that, but the results have both hilarity and heart. Allison (Katrina Bowden), Chad (Jesse Moss), Chloe (Chelan Simmons), Chuck (Travis Nelson), Jason (Brandon Jay McLaren), Naomi (Christie Liang), Todd (Alex Arsenault), Mitch (Adam Beauchesne) and Mike (Joseph Allan Sutherland) are college students heading to the woods to goof off and get high. They nearly run into a truck and the two occupants give them the evil eye as the kids pass by. Those two sinister looking sorts are Tucker (Alan Tudyk) and Dale (Tyler Labine) who actually aren.t that...

Title: Tucker & Dale vs. Evil Directed By: Eli Craig Starring: Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, Jesse Moss, Chelan Simmons, Brandon Jay McLaren, Christie Laing, Travis Nelson, Alex Arsenault, Adam Beauchesne In an industry with a tendency to use, reuse and then reuse yet again, a film that defies typical tactics is particularly exciting.
